Advice on how well this would work?

This is my first ever build. It's a tugboat rda with 24 gauge 8 wraps around 3/32 drill bit. Came out to .34 and it chucks some clouds but the flavor is outstanding.

I think you're going to really like the sigelei 100. I don't have a Hobo rda, but from looking at pictures of it I think it's not the best vapor production RDA that's out there. I would also suggest not going as big as 22 gauge Kanthal. You have 26 gauge and I would add 24. Twisted dual 26 gauge wire gets you to roughly the same mass and surface area per coil as the 22 gauge will, so you'll have three options with 26 and 24 as opposed to two with 26 and 22 and there's a big gap between 26 and 22.

I have since changed my mind actually! haha that always happens. But the sigelei 150 watt sounds easier to build on and it would last me longer, not to mention the mephisto rda is sexy af and has very large tower holes to fit some thick ... wire!! Plus its reviews are amazing if any one has the mephisto could you please tell me the pros and cons thanks!!!

Hello, so i am thinking on purchasing a sigelei 100 watt dual 18650 and throwing a Hobo v2.1 RDA on top (All authentic of course). I was planning on using .22 gauge wire I am still a tad bit new to vaping but just want to hear yalls opinion! shanks

24 gauge will probably be a little easier to build on & still utilize the boxes full power potential. But yes the Hobo is fantastic on the Sigelei.

I own a Mephisto and used to use it religiously!! Only real con I have is their are RDA's out there with better airflow for building lower. Otherwise it's great!!!

I'd say go 24g, dual coil. 22g isn't that hard to work with, I find 28g harder to work with on its own because it ends up kind of springy. With 22/24g the wire stays put when wrapping a coil tightly.

Why put a thick wire sub ohm build with so few wraps on a regulated device? You could put a smaller gauge large coil and push a lot more power through it and get bigger clouds if that's what you're after.
