I just ordered these two devices this morning.
ZNA 30 Style VV/VW mod
Erlkonigin Style Rebuildable Tank Atomizer (8ml) 1:1
I have never used either one before, but they looked good so I made an impulse purchase. Right now I have some 24 gauge wire that I think I will use for a coil. I'm thinking about 10 wraps should give me somewhere between 1.0 and 1.5 Ohms. I will go to my local B&M to get a meter, so I know its right. But I have never used an rba before, I only have rda's right now. Also, I have never had a regulated ecig that goes up to 30 watts, so any advice on using these two together would be appreciated.

24 is pretty hefty... I use 28 or 30 on my Kayfuns. But as long as there's room for the wraps you need for the resistance you want, it should be ok. Expect some lag on firing, since that's a lot of metal to heat up - and cold down.

A meter is a necessity. What have you been doing to check them for your drippers??

Just start at the low end of the settings, and work up until you're happy :)

I'm kind of thinking about going up to 28 gauge as well. The 24 is just left over from some of the RDA's I was playing around with. It works pretty good on them with about 5 wraps, but I don't know if it will work so good on a regulated device.

You guys suck. No replies when I hit reply. ;)

What ratio juice? I've found thicker liquid wicking at higher power benefits from a larger coil. Also don't be afraid of higher ohms. Being able to crank up the volts means you can run a higher ohm wire harder. I'm using
28g 7/64bit 12wraps 1.8ohm cotton 100%vg 18w in a kayfun. Nice big, open coil that wicks thick stuff well and is making warm, thick vapor. Even at that resistance I've got power to spare.

I think you did will find that regulated devices shine when kept above 1ohm i use 28g in mine for the Russian fogger and taifun gt but also love the nautilus on the zna clone i have.

I'm not familiar with that RTA but I do know that if you have to trap wire with screws like in a Kayfun that 24g is gonna be a ....* to trap. I usually use 28g or 30g kanthal with building on my Kayfun. Higher ohms on a variable device is the way to go. You can build around 1 ohm and still get "phat cloudz" at lower amps which in turn is safer. You don't have to go sub-ohm on regulated devices because you can adjust power.

I think you and the the others that have replied are right. I'm going to get some 28 gauge this week sometime. I probably wont have the device till Thursday anyway.

I just got this in the mail today. I can't believe it got here so fast! My first impressions are that the device is great. I am using my Nautilus right now because I still have to pick up some 28 gauge wire. But this thing works great and for 60 bucks, it can't be beat. At least on the first day. I might have a different opinion if it starts to fall apart in a week or two.
