Advice on ordering ---

I am looking to get my first mod - and have found a site called fast tech, has anyone used them any advice? do they have good quality stuff? im looking at a vv/vw vamo 5 for about 30 dollars.

Do a search on the forum. There is a ton of info on fasttech. I haven't ordered from them, but from what I've read, it could take up to 6-8 weeks to get your order. The majority of the stuff on there is clones/replicas, but don't let that discourage you. Most of the stuff also gets pretty good reviews making it a great value. FastTech also has their own forums that you can take a look at.

I have a Vamo V2 that I got from a local B&M for $45. For me, it was worth the extra $15 to not have to wait so long, otherwise I probably would have ended up ordering it from FastTech. Great device, and a great entry piece into VV/VW.

most stuff doesn't take that long to arrive- if it's in stock and you don't order batteries figure 2 weeks or less. i live in florida and that's how long it takes to arrive. make sure you check 1st class shipping. great prices and good customer service. order with confidence......

Lol. That's not a novel, that's like reading 20 years of a soap opera script.

I've ordered from FT before, and I still have one order that's shown as "Origin post preparing shipment" for a month now. Hong Kong post shows it as being "Returned to sender", and FastTech is urging me to be patient.

That will happen every once in a while, so there IS a chance your order will get lost and your money will be refunded but that may take a few months.

So, if there's something you want, are willing to wait for, and understand that you may have to order it again in two months and wait some more, go for it.

I haven't ordered anything from FastTech that I absolutely need, I order only things I'd like to have but can live without if necessary.

Getting your order from the Shipper to the Hong Kong facility by scooter takes the longest. Then once its loaded on the Indiana Jones plane and makes its way across the ocean its all dependent if the pilots jump out and it crashes into the mountains. But i tell when that bad boy hits San Fran, its at your door in two days or less. So figure an average of 2 to 4 weeks on shipping.

If you can get through pages of cut and paste shipping forms you'll see batteries may never arrive.
