Advice on the Smok RDA?

OK.... got recently introduced to dripping, liked it, then decided to get my feet wet with rebuildables... I looked around and the humble Smoke rda (aka the octopus) seemed a good choice. Coming from more complicated gadgets, like an Evod with its seals and coils and wicking/leaking concerns, etc... this is a breath of fresh air... basically wick and coil. Early returns are in and it's pretty awesome.

Anyone have some advice for a rebuilding noob?

I guess the trick is to have as much 'coverage' inside the chamber by those wicks (and oh, there are wicks... miles of them) ... They wrap around... are there any tricks to using such long wicks ( and no... 'trimming them' isn't the answer I am looking for ) Should I try to keep them wrapped around the outside, or try to get some back between the posts...

And second... what power can these things take (the stock one is a 2ohm coil, 5 or so wraps)? Coming from clearo-land, if I started into the 9w+ range, it would fry. I know I can experiment to see, but I'd rather avoid the mouth full of ash feel if I can.

Before I tore it out and re did it witch a micro coil and cotton, I would put the tails in the cap first, then twist it in so they wrapped around the posts. If the coil is over the hole, this method leaves a chimney in between the posts so you don't block the air or flood the air hole.

I usually vape 2 ohms around 6-7 watts. I have noticed that with RBAs though that I can push the power up a bit more.
