Hi All,

Long time lurker, 2nd time poster. I started vaping in January and was doing very well for a 3 month stretch! I then went on business to NYC (no questions at the Canada/US border by the way, and vaped in the plane :) and found myself walking around the city for a very long stint on Sunday before work started. I started out vaping, I had 4 charged batteries and thought I was good to go.. It wasn't long until my batteries ran out and from there everything went downhill.. the pain of refilling juice in public, charging batteries at the client, etc.. etc.. I fell off the wagon completely and bought a pack out of ease of use and stayed on cigarettes almost exclusively for the next 2 weeks :-( I'm back on the wagon now, and honestly don't know why I stayed with the smokes for so damn long.. however I travel ALOT for work, like 4 months of the year in 1/2 week stints everywhere in the world. I would love to not have to repeat this experience again.

I also found that using the e-cigarette in short bursts while out in public places or at client site where I couldn't constantly vape was not satisfying at all!! :-(

My question is, does anyone have experience with long stints away from home/work and not being able to constantly vape? How do you deal with these things?

Well, I use the new Go-go. It used cartomizers that hold 3ml of juice. My batteries last a day and a half, and I vape about 6ml a day. You would be able to charge your extra battery while you sleep, and only have to carry one with a carto and an extra carto in your pocket if you vape more than 3ml a day.

The echo is about the same but it is an automatic battery versus the go-go manual battery.

I love mine and when I am where I cannot vape, I use every excuse to go to the bathroom and vape away...

I recommend you get something with 510 threading in case you need spare parts while travelling. I think a Box and you could carry several charged 650mah+ AA-sized batteries in a small battery case. Go look at Little Sister (both the 3.7v and the variable voltage) at Boxmods.com and other box mods as well. Just get something decent that won't break if you drop it.

Or you could use Ego T batteries - I hear they have off switches? Not sure about that.

Thanks guys, I'll check out both those solutions. The go-go you're referring to, MrsDash, is this one: GO-GO ?

Yup, that is it. The biggest issue you will find with this is that NOTHING is interchangable with it. Go-go carts fit go-go and nothing else without the adapter. But, I love mine!! I am now a week on the same go-cart... so the carts last me a long time. I just keep re-filling them.

There is also a new unit available called the NOEgo, it is shaped like an Ego/Riva, has 510 connector, and there are models for 14500 and 18650 batteries, the 18650 battery is available in 3000 mAh through several places, so it should last a long time. I have one of each on order and I am anxious to see what they can do.

I have Ego's, Riva's and a GoGo, have tried box mods but they weren't for me. I like all of the Ego/Riva/GoGo size models so that is why I thought I would try these.

They can be viewed at: Jazz cartopipe the first Cartomizer Pipe

And here is one thread talking about the unit, go to the beginning of thread:

They also have a great looking e-pipe if anyone is interested.

The NoEgo kits do NOT come with the batteries or chargers, but those can be had at MadVapes and other places, several battery stores have them, and also DealExtreme. This vemdor's goal was to allow users to make use of thier current hardware and I like that. I had some of both batts that I was not using, so I will be all set up.

I use this...Charge Anywhere - Mobile Devices at iGo, Inc.

Lots of peeps use PCC charger's but I like this one for a couple of reasons. It has it's own built in a/c connector and it has 2 usb ports. Battery life is 1800mAH. Lasts me a very long time :) Plus I can recharge my cell phone, ipod, bluetooth, anything that is USB powered. Just try that with a PCC...lol. Igo has a bunch of different types and sizes.
If I have access to an a/c outlet it will fully charge in under an hour.

I relapsed hard in NYC too....since that incident I bought a bottom feeder (REO)- so no more dripping. The other thing I'm working on is vaping more like I smoked- in 5 minute breaks every hour or so. I'm hoping that during the times when I'm forced into a more regular smoker schedule that I'll be used to it- instead of keeping it plugged into my face all the time.

You might want to look into a stronger juice for those times too...make those 5 minutes count!

Thanks for the advice guys! I think I'll take dormouse's advice and stick with 510 compatible hardware for the time being.

4mehealth, it's more that I ran out of batter power before I could get back to home base.. The MET is LARGE and takes a longer time than expected to go through :)

Steelrat thanks! The problem with that is it would be bulky in my pocket to screw the battery on it, but I will look into the PCC, that should do the trick!

SuziesMom and Mickster, thanks for the suggestion. I vape the 24mg all day and it seems to do the trick, but my supplier had run out of higher power stuff last I checked. The first time I ordered I got 1 10mL of 36mg and now that you mention it, when I hit that, I could actually put the damn thing down for a while before I got the itch.. just going to have to hunt down some 36mg in Canada now and give that a shot:laugh::confused::laugh:

Thanks all, I think I've got what I need now!

I ordered a Revolution V2 for traveling this summer, it has a 10 ml bottle and its also a passthrough. The battery isn't the greatest, but I also have a handy small portable charger for mini-USB.

I don't know if I'll be okay without my REO (lol), but I don't like the idea of hauling 18650 batteries and a charger with me.
