Advice on what to pair with the Kanger Subtank?

I don't plan on rebuilding. It could eventually happen but I doubt it. I was going for the Aspire nautilus but the wicking material concerns have me concerned so I opted out of that. I ended up checking out the Kanger Subtank and I like how its cotton that is being used. I have never sub ohm vaped before as I have just used the Halo Triton setup but I am curious. I thought I saw that it comes with a replacement coil @ 1.2 ohms. Anyway, I know this is dangerous stuff here and I am in a bit over my head. I need to figure out what mods I should be looking at to drive the Kanger subtank. I am not opposed to box mods or cylindrical/tube mods. I also need to get a read on what batteries to check out. I'm not too concerned with saving money as opposed to being 100% safe though.


1. What online sites are recommended for purchasing equipment?

2. What devices should I be looking at? I guess its not a big deal if it hangs over the mod since its 25mm but if I can find a good mod that it doesn't do that with, it would be preferable.

3. What batteries should I be looking at for said device?

4. Should I continue with the Kanger subtank option or just move to an Aspire Nautilus equivalent option? Will it provide me a substantial performance increase over the Tritons? What equivalents would I be looking at? I feel using cotton to be much better option but I don't know of other coils that use cotton besides the Kanger subtank which is a big plus for that atomizer.

:the yihi sx mini- i would put anything on this mod but it works especially well with the kanger subtank. .5 coil at 25 to 30watts=vaping nirvana. may be tough trying to get one right now but i am sure more are coming.....

I was looking at a Sigelei 50/100W or one of the IPV box mods. Definitely going with a box mod. Just wondering if I should get something with the DNA 30/40

I ordered mine through amazon, but only because I have a gift card for amazon. There is a list of ECF vendors, but I've had good luck with Evape.us, Ebay, Vaping.me.

I got an ipv mini for mine, no hangover if you use the beauty ring. Look at devices that can fire down to 0.5ohm (preferebly lower)

3. What batteries should I be looking at for said device?

Mine came with a Vamped 18650 3.7V 2300MAH 40AMPS, but I have two samsung 25r's on the way

I have the Kanger subtank and the Atlantis and use the subtank more often. That might be because my ipv mini is limited to 30 watts and maybe more watts would do the Atlantis better?? I also wanted to get into rebuilding and the Kanger has the RBA base. Did my first build today (frustrating but worth it) and it's been better than the stock coils and I am at lower watts (hoping that means more battery life). I used Cotton Labo ORGANIC Cotton from Amazon and no dry hits or anything yet. Never had a Triton but it is better than my Nautilus tanks / protank 3 / protank mini 2 & 3.

All of those options would be awesome, would probably go dna 40 over 30 if I was picking between those two.

I second the sx mini. Way more options. You have the power curves of soft, standard and powerful. It works great to customize your vape for different juices and builds. On top of that, there's 5 presets. The best part of all, it feels great in the hand. This is the best looking mod with a yihi chip.

Any of the 30+ watt box mods would be fine with a Subtank. Pick your poison basically. I am partial to the Cloupor ZNA50 clone personally. the IPV3 is also a nice choice.
