Ok, so I know I'm probably going to get hell for this, but I've been doing this for awhile and done it safely, there is a reason I'm on here asking advice, I always use the highest quality, etc.

So I've been vaping on Dual Series Unregulated for quite awhile, then I moved onto the Hammer of God Para-Series.

Now I'm getting a Triple Series and Quad Series (Yes Quad). I already have a friend who has one, these boxes are legit and high quality, not some basement box.

He's been currently running the Aspire 40amp batteries in the Quad and the 25r's in the Triple. The aspires actually do pretty well, the voltage drop isn't fast or low at the beginning, decent battery life. We tried the 25r's in it, but as soon as it was fired, the voltage drop was ridiculous and couldn't power it basically. THe 25r's do ok in the Triple, but the Aspires are better. As I'm getting both these boxes new, I'm wanting to get new batteries for them.

Won't be going below a .4 on the Triple (Yes I know thats low, but been doing it for quite awhile and it is fine)

And probably won't go below a .6 on the Quad (I've had a .36 on it before and it was fine, yes I know its dangerous, Wasn't my box nor my decision, but I've seen it done and vaped) I don't need to know about Ohm's laws, etc. I already know.

So basically I need a very high amp discharge with a decent life. I was thinking either the VTC 4's or the LG HB4's? Only thing I'm afraid of with the HB4's is they won't last long at all being 1500mh.

Mooch I'm basically looking for you here. Thanks alot.

You can't have a very high amp discharge rating with decent run time (capacity). If you want safety then you have to sacrifice capacity and replace batteries more often. :)

A compromise can be the VTC4 you mentioned. It will probably run hot, depending on how you vape, but if you can still hold one of the cells in a closed hand for 30 seconds then it's not too hot. Hotter than that and the cell's aging starts accelerating.

Ok, well would it just be better to get multiples of the LG HB4's? And just replace them as needed? It seems like thats the highest performing battery at the coolest temps, just not much capacity.

That is definitely the safest choice.
It all depends on how long your draws are and how often you take them. That has a huge effect on battery temperature, which would affect which battery to choose.

Well I just saw your pulse 30amp shootout test and it actually seems like the Aspires that he was using in the Quad was the best choice. The draws are usually 1 second to 1 1/2. Couple times a min, then usually a break for like 2 min. Then same thing.

You mentioned that you were considering the VTC4 or HB4 so I stuck to duscussing just those. :)

The Aspire's are incredible performing batteries but they're not the safest choice in my opinion. The HB's run a lot cooler and they're not ICR chemistry. The Aspire's do have a higher voltage at the start of a discharge but their voltage is lower than the VTC4's for a lot of it too. That starting higher voltage might be the key to great pulsed performance but I don't know yet. They have the highest actual run time though, by far, versus the VTC4 and HB's.

I'm retesting all of them to get the pulsed discharge data. That should make for a good shootout. :)l

With your draws being that far apart you can probably run the VTC4's or Aspire's safely. Just check how hot they get occasionally until you know how much they heat up for your vaping style.

Yea I vaped on his quad for about 3-4 hours straight with a .8 build on it. Hitting it several times a minute, maybe a min or 2 break in between each min sometimes. The aspires never even heated up. When we had a .5 build on there, it would start getting the batteries warm after about 10 min of hitting it alot, but never hot. You could just feel they were getting warm when you took off the back and touched them.
