Just bought a sigelei 100w box mod. It uses 2x18650 batteries. People claim that batteries should be rotated since they are in a series.

How do you mark your batteries?

Will sharpies on the top positive post wrapper work best for longeveity? The batteires I'm using are the Samsung 25r series and they have a white top wrapper around the positive post which I believe would work well with sharpies. But open to better ideas.

Suggestions please :)

Chipotle.
I like many others simply write a number on the side of most cells, some times there is enough of a blemish or difference in one of the wrappers for me to tell them apart without writing anything on them. Several of my batteries are also re-wrapped to different colors, one of my favorite ways to wrap batteries is with the clear heatshrink, that way I can write on the metal cylinder itself and wrap over it and it lasts for as long as the wrap does without ever smudging.

Sharpies work fine. You can then cover your marking with a piece of clear tape to prevent it from rubbing off. I've had some batteries where my marks would wear off from handling and this took care of it

agreed, do the same thing with my batteries with no endurance issues, just try to find thin clear scotch tape, the thicker stuff tends to peel off easier...
