Advice required on which one and where from

Hi guys

I have been smoking over the counter e cigs for a while now and wish to upgrade. I have been smoking menthol nicolites bought from the tesco pharmacy!!

Anyway I am based in the UK and have looked around the forums for a fair while and looked at a fair few websites. I have to say everything seems quite confusing. I believe I am after a simple mid sized ecig with no requirement for extra mods etc. From what I've seen the kgo seems to be good for me but I can't find any uk online suppliers. Another option was the riva 1100 kit from vapeescape but they don't seem to have any stock.

I have been recommended to the totallywicked website before but I'm not sure which one would be best for me and if they are value for money.

I hope that's enough info. Please direct me to a product (preferably starter kit) and supplier.

Thanks. I have been looking there as well. There's a huge list of suppliers all offering different things but I'm trying to find the right product for me. There seems to be so many variations and the ones I finally decide to go for I can't find!!

After you have 5 posts (and wait about an hour) you can post in the UK forum.

Not that you can't post here, but someone there might be able to tell you which suppliers they purchase from.

I think you'll find some of the larger sized pv a definitely improvement over the over the counter models. Another plus is you can purchase liquid you like and fill your own tanks/cartomizers. Usually taste much better and there is a saving too.

Hi, ash0803! Welcome and huge congrats on the big switch! Liberty Flights is a really solid UK-based vendor. They, too, have some troubles keeping their stuff in stock, but other than that, they're great (and speedy). Some might question my jumping the gun with a newbie recommendation; but, especially if you were a heavy smoker, you might be more satisfied with either the ego twist or the vision spinner (same basic thing), so you can crank up the voltage when you need that extra punch. I'd recommend getting a small assortment of cartos/clearos to see what makes you happiest. My favorite, most reliable carto is the 1.7 ohm singe coil mini cartos (you do have to fill them more frequently, but it's worth it). As for clearos, try out a couple Kanger T2s and T3s. A good starting mg for most just switching from analogs is 18mg (many will say higher, but I don't, since you'll probably want to chain-vape in the early days). I actually enjoy a few of the vg juices from Liberty Flights ("luxury blend" is my favorite). Sorry this is a bit long. Thanks for the advice. I was never a really heavy smoker and I've been on ecigs for a little while so I don't think I would need the extra voltage feature. I'm just looking for something to replace my crappy cig-a-like with something more satisfying but still simple to use.

Questions wise, I think I get most confused about the parts. It seems everything is interchangeable. I understand what the different parts do but not sure why I would say get a certain battery with a certain atto or clearo? Say I bought the riva 1100 start kit why would I change the cartos with clearos? Does it make it taste better? Or is it just a gimmick?

I am a relatively newbie too, and have been through the cig-alike stage too. Recently I switched to a tank/clearomiser system and have been delighted with it. I got mine from Vapouriz. Starter kit was reasonably priced, and juice tastes v good. It is based on Ego (CE4) parts. You may need a wall (USB) charger, but you may already have one of those?

The kit also includes a free leather pouch/lanyard (wear round neck) which is very handy when driving.

Every juice delivery device has one or two heating elements within it. How the heating elements have the e-liquid delivered to them and how the juice is carried is what is different. They all perform a little differently, and eveyone seems to have strong preferences on which one works best for them. What one person likes, another would not. Having multiple options is a good thing, but can be confusing to a new person getting into the hobby.

A newb question. I know what a clearomiser is but how does a tank differ apart from storing more liquid? And what is a drip thing I have been hearing of?

The kit that VitaSparks linked to isn't a good deal as it only includes one battery & the battery is only 650 mAh (the higher the mAh, the longer the battery lasts between recharges.

I tend to usually recommend the Riva 1100 mAh kit sold by Vape Escape The VE Riva 1100 Deluxe Kit £34.95 - Deluxe Vaping Kits - Riva 1100 Kit Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid as it comes with 2 batteries a clearomiser & 5 cartomisers (some folks prefer cartomisers, others prefer clearomisers). Plus you couldn't get better customer service anywhere. However, it's out of stock at the moment, but someone posted on the UK sub-forum saying they have been told it will be back in stock later this week.

Yeh my first choice was going to be the riva 1100 but obviously it was out of stock. Any of the other kits recommended? Ash, both of those kits are good , but if I was you, I'd go with the Vision 1000. Main reason being it comes with 3 x V3 Vision Ego Rebuildable Clearomisers rather than the ego T type tank atomisers & cartridges - they are known to have some leaking & wicking issues.

woops misread your answer. I assumed you said the riva was best but you said you would go for the vision from the two I suggested. Would the vision be a good alternative to the riva then? Or is best bet stilll wait for riva assuming price isn't an issue

Just to update...In the end I went for the Vape Escape Vision 1000 Ultimate £59.99 - Deluxe Vaping Kits - VE Vision 1000 Ultimate Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid starter kit. I hope its decent enough.

I was tempted to buy the eGo Twists and get all the parts separately but found the kit to be better value for money. Thanks for all the advice as it definitely helped me learn what I actually wanted.
