First off, I do not and have no interest in smoking traditional cigarettes. I've always been intrigued, but for a different reason.

I'm the kind of person that likes to have something to do. I'm quite fidgety, and the idea of a cigarette somewhat appeals to me if it weren't for the addiction. I've been looking into the nicotine-free versions (Yes, I know they contain trace amounts-not enough to cause addiction without heavy use), and I was looking for some advice.

I know that in moderation these can cause little to no health effects, and I was more looking into the flavor varieties. I was hoping to get some recommendations for brand/flavor, or perhaps some advice overall. I have exactly $25 to start with, and not a penny more.

Liberty-Flights.com is one of the most inexpensive place I've found to get hardware, but you might want to wait and save up some money cause at the very least you need -battery , charger and a couple clearomizers. For a clearomizer my suggestion would be the Vision 1.6ml. stardust......I don't think $25 bucks will cover it ...My other suggestion would be Ego or Riva batteries.

Welcome , but as eluded to , in an earlier post . vaping is not a hobby to start , if you were never a smoker . Try knitting , or doing crosswords , but don't start a bad habit , just to have something to do . No , it's not as bad as actual smoking , but your still taking substances into your lungs . And nobody has any proof , one way or the other , whether or not there are any side effects , to prolonged vaping .

A non-smoker should stay a non-smoker and therefore a non-vaper. For us ex-smokers it is a godsend, but why tempt fate and start something that you really do not need to do. Anyway, once the vaping bug bites and you fall in love with all the toys that $25.00 will need to turn into hundreds or more! (Not complaining cause I would be collecting something else anyway!)

Spend the money on gas to go to the desert and fly down dirt roads...or concert tickets to a rockin' concert under the stars...or making the best veggie garden ever...or put it in the bank and have a real retirement...or own a house before you reach middle age...or getting parachute lessons...anything but taking up a habit like vaping.

Vaping is the bomb if you are hooked on cigs and want to get off the stinkies but is worthless as a hobby and really could lead to a nicotine addiction.

Welcome Sliver,

I would agree with others, if you don't have to then don't! I chose vaping in order to get away from tobacco smoking - if I could do it all over again, I wouldn't have picked up that very first cigarette. I too am needing to keep my fingers busy - hence my posts on this forum. Try sunflower seeds in a shell - I also use these to help ease my transition to vaping.

These are a cheap alternative and do not cause any harm - ashtrays are a good place for the shells!

Cheers!

Age 19? Yes, go get that education and skills. People in your age group will be smoking, but walk away. Don't be like Bullette and me and be enslaved to the smoke for all those years.

Hey Bullette- Where have you been lately? Missed you this week.
Howdy Davenkay.
I'm still here.
Spent some time reading ECF about Chopperguys this week. Very educational.
BTW...
When I was 19 I didn't listen to anyone. Heck, when I was 39 I was just starting to get my hearing. LOL.

I totally agree with the others. "this is not a toy" .

For figeting - try some mindful meditation. counting can be a great and instant mindful meditation. The idea is to retrain your brain to looking forward to relaxation instead of needing to be fulfilled by doing. Just start slow - want to fidget, close your eyes and count to 10 slowly. Increase the numbers as high as you can over time. when you get bored counting - move on to object admiration. Enjoy an object fully, like a pen, stapler or other at hand item.

If you feel you are not getting it right away - just keep trying. Success comes in increments not huge jumps.

and if all else fails - oragami! learning the folds is actually a kind of mindful meditation and you will have some lovely object to enjoy too.

My recommendation would be to set up a couple fish tanks and breed some of these-
