Hi All,

Been vaping for about a month now and analog free since 3/17.

I've been using a 808D setup. Mainly using my 5v passthrough with Kanger cartos.
I found a juice I enjoy and it's a 50/50 pg/vg mix.
For the most part, I'm satisfied with the TH and taste, but I'm a very heavy vaper and easily go thru 5+ ml's per day.
That's alot of topping off!

I've tried the DVCT's but they can't seem to keep up with my puffing habit. I seem to run it dry and spend too much time trying to do dry hits to re moisten the fill.

I'm hoping to find a setup that will let me puff away for hours on end without worrying about top offs or needing to do dry hits because I puff to frequently for the carto to keep up.

Suggestions?

If you try out tanks as stephpd suggested but end up not liking them, you MAY like the DoD.

Yes, yes, yes before I get trampled it looks really wonky. I get that. It takes some getting use to. I initially got one because A. I refuse like a 5 year old to get a tank B. I LOVE my cartomizers and C. I needed a way to drive safer.

Granted I got it mostly for driving, I find myself using it all the time now. If you don't like tanks and end up trying the DoD you can return it within 30 days if you do not like it. Drip On Demand Kit

+1 for carto-tanks - I am using J-tanks with a lot of success, and I recommend them. There are a lot of other options, however - try looking at this thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ssion/228295-cartomizer-tank-master-list.html

However, it may be that you will find a feeder mod more to your liking - these use a bottle that you "sqwonk" to feed juice to an atomizer or even cartomizer. It's more of an advanced device, but you might want to look into it. There is a subforum dedicated to them: Liquid Feed Mods Discussion

Last, but not least, welcome to ECF and congrats on switching to vaping!

Hmm.. I tried a carto tank for the 808D. The problem I had with it was that it seemed I puffed too frequently on it to stay moist.

Maybe that's more of a technique thing.. I don't know.

I've had that problem w/kangers, I guess I could've tried enlarging or adding another hole, but I've had that problem before with them w/o a tank. I just stick to boges, over a year with them and 0 problems.

First off CONGRATS and WELCOME! My advice to you is research and find the tank that BESTS fits you! I agree 100% with Elfstone, that there are many different opinions on what is the BEST tank! I currently use the PHINIAC regular tank with a Boge LR 2.0 ohm carto! The reason why I went with PHINIAC is because of its DURABLITY when using ACIDIC flavors such as Banana and Cinnamon e-liquids! There has been reported problems, such as CRACKING when using these particular e-liquid flavors with POLY-CARBONATE tanks and MOST if not ALL vendors who sell POLY-CARBONATE tanks will CAUTION you first before purchasing their tanks when using those particular e-liquid flavors! Do your research! GOOD LUCK, take care, and HAPPY VAPING! :D

You might just need a slightly larger hole to feed the carto properly. Just don't go too big or they start to leak.
It's a fine line and takes some experimenting.

Some points to consider when using a tank:
-PG/ VG ratio- heavier VG will not wick quickly into the tank thus ending up with a dry carto while high PG ratio will result in flooding.
-size of hole in carto- too large and carto floods while too small and carto goes dry.
I vape 60/ 40 PG/ VG and occasionally if I'm chain vaping I have to top the carto top off but that is rare.
I punch my own cartos and the hole is 2.5 mm.
    I LOVE the tank system.

I use a Phiniac XL tank.
It will use the mega 808D-1 cartos from IKenvape.com.
I use it on my eGo with a 510 to 808 adapter ($4.10).
I am so happy with mine!
I got the Sand-blasted Final Frontier.
    No leaks & holds 5mLs.
I have not found anything I like better.
I have tried almost everything else,
    except for the Torpedo Tank from Vapor_Age.com;
which, I am waiting for them to get the larger tanks in stock.
    These are CE2 tanks.
I like the CE2s, except that you
have to lay them down with the top end propped up or e-liquid goes into the center post and
travels down to the battery connection or up into your mouth.
Since I haven't gotten this tank yet, I do not know if it will prevent this or not.

    Happy Vaping!

    @Ray
    Congrats on no ciggys.
Ya' know when I raise up my nicotine level, I don't need to chain vape. 24mg nix works for me.
    Whatchu using'?
    Bullette

Hi Bullette, I'm using 12mg... but honestly I think I'd vape the same with higher nic, I just seem to enjoy puffing on it alot LOL
I'd probably just end up making myself sick with higher nic
