I know there are many factors here like thickness, vg/pg make up of the juice, number of continuous puffs, length of puffs...etc but I was wondering what is a general avg life span of a carto? I filled this new one up 2 days ago and been hitting all weekend, refilling it then doing it all over again and today it seems to be getting kinda clogged and losing the flavor. Is that about the normal length these things last for a heavy puffer?
I'am using Halo tiki juice and its thicker than the menthol juices I have. The carto is a G6 carto, says kr808 on their site. I usually take 4-5 second puffs, pretty frequently. Not chaining but pretty damn close to it. Never ran it dry always top it off after an hour or 2 with a few drops to keep it moist. Just curious what others get out of these things.

Thanks,
Eric

I only use thin clear juices - thin so it can move quickly through the stuffing to rewet the coil area and clear (rather than dark, cloudy, opaque) so the juice doesn't drop a bunch of carto-clogging flavoring sediment that degrades any carto or atty too quickly.

I can get about 7 days of vaping out of a KR808D-1 carto or about 15-20ml run through. I can get about 10 days use out of a Boge 510 running about the same amount through (I alternate vaping the two models, vaping the KR8 a bit more and get 2 weeks out of the KR8 carto and 3 weeks out of the Boge). I am pretty good at keeping them damp so they don't singe.

And instead of everyone posting again their same information that was discussed two weeks ago, read this multipage thread

I boil them after each use and assume a carto is about the equivalent of a pack of smokes so will maybe use one for a day or a day and a half. I've been using the same 15 cartos since I think June or May. I only use VG and I think they do clog up faster than they would with PG. But the cartos seem to last forever. I've been using Bloogs, if it makes a difference.

I find 100% PG juices to be rather harsh, and a little hard on my lungs and soft tissues of the mouth. Of course, YMMV, but I use 50/50 PG/VG juices from FreedomSmokeUSA. And as has been stated, the darker, thicker juices (frequently the tobacco-based types) do clog up my cartos more quickly, and degrade the life span. That said, I still get about 2 days out of a carto with the dark juice, and don't really mind.

I was wondering about the PG based juices. I use a methol flavor, and I still cough a bit, and I recall reading that the menthol on its own increases the "smokers hack". I assumed thats the reason for my continuing cough after quitting smoking for about 4 months.

5 to 7 days with lighter colored PG juices. 2 days with VG and somewhere in between with mixes. I do fine with 70pg/30vg n cartos.

I used to think that PG was too harsh. After finding a great tasting 100% PG Camel flavor at Awesome Vapor, I kept vaping it until it became my daily vape. They give you a 3ml sample bottle of your choice for each regular bottle. If I order 3 bottles and choose the same juice for the samples, they throw in another 16ml bottle of the same instead of 3 x 3ml. So, I buy 3 and get one free.

I switched between two 510 atomizers for 3 months, (but I did clean each of them halfway through) using the direct drip method. Around the third month I had to get a new atomizer. Basically, you can get 2-3 weeks or more after they clog/go bad if you boil them or soak them in rubbing alcohol, blow through battery piece, and dry. If you alternate between two, each atomizer lasted me around 15-30ml of cheap china made juice after one cleaning, then they died. So if cartomizers are similar, I'd say I agree with KeysBum. Don't draw on them extremely hard, slow, long drags will keep them around for a bit longer than if you suck on them really hard, in my limited experience. The one I have now, I've been using for 4 days now, and throughout, its started to taste like I was burning the wick (although I top the juice up every hour or so, and I am a chain vaper) but if you put in some drips when that happens, the burnt taste does go away. I'd say it comes and goes. I'm 21, I've barely got a job, so trust me, I beat the hell out of mine before I throw them out. If you've got the money and you don't want to be burning the wick, throw it out when it tastes burnt. If you do this, a carto will probably last you around 2-3 days. :p Mine seems like its getting clogged, (4th day) and tastes burnt, so I'd probably clean and rejuice it if I didn't have a few spares on hand. I still will when I get my juice shipment. Hope this helped.ck PS. You'll know when the wick is being fried, the flavor will get crummy, the draw will seem less strong, or clogged, throat hit will lessen, and your tongue wont be happy.
