If you like the form factor of the MVP, check out the VTR. Lots of vendors carry them at different price points. It's heavy though, 3 ounces shy of a full pound actually. I chose this one for my on the go device because the reveiws are great, and it's beefy so I feel it can take some abuse. The added feature of the tank being slightly protected appealed to me also. I use a PT2, a Davide, and the iClear 30s it came with as the tanks on it.

I agree with Harlen. I have both the Innnokin VV3 and the ego vv (newer model with VW added) along with other devices. I prefer the 1300 capacity, as for me the 800 on the VV3 isn't sufficient for a day. Although it's a fine backup. Have had it for somewhere over 9 months and no problems other than the one's I've made. (1-rivet model doesn't really like repeated drops, but epoxy putty made a fine repair.)

The VTR is definitely NOT a smaller device, which is what the OP was asking about.

Ok need some advice. I currently have an MVPv2 and am looking at purchasing another smaller device to carry sometimes. I am looking at the Itaste VV v3. Is this a good device? any thoughts on this or something similar?

The VV/VW v3 is a great small device I use 2 of them at work and like the mvp 2 you can charge them with your phone charger. I usualy get a full 8 hour shift out of one of them.

I was simply comparing it to the form factor of the MVP, and pointing out the protection against drops, and pocket carry mishaps. I agree it is not "small" in the sense of weight, but physical shape and size is much easier for carrying IMO as compared to a longer Ego or tube mod while on the go.

When I bought my MVP 2.0, I also bought a VV 3.0 at the same time to have something smaller and easier to take with me. It is an excellent complement to the MVP 2.0.

Same exact features (3.3 - 5.0 volts in 0.1 volt increments, 6.0 - 11.0 watts in 0.5 watt increments) but in a much smaller package. Yes it only has an 800 mAh battery but since it also functions as a passthrough and can be charged with a standard micro USB cable, it is easy to find somewhere to charge it a bit if the battery runs low.

As it is winter right now, it is very easy to carry my MVP 2.0 with me everywhere I go, so I haven't been using my VV 3.0 that much. But in warmer weather when you have no jacket the VV 3.0 is easier to carry.

It's very inexpensive -- I paid $35 + tax at a local B&M shop for the express kit with the VV 3.0 and a nifty and very portable retractable USB charging cable. You can easily find similar prices online.

The only negative is the fact that the VV 3.0 has a slightly different user interface. It has +/- buttons to adjust the wattage or voltage setting, and switching between VV and VW modes is also different. Sometimes I find myself using the procedures for the MVP on the VV and vice-versa. It's only a minor inconvenience for me.

Another vote here for the vv3. I needed something smaller to carry around at work, and love my MVP's so I tried it out. 101vapes.com has the express kit for $26, no tanks though. All you get is the vv and a retractable power cord. I am thinking about buying a second one to leave at work because now I take one of my MVP's with me just in case something happens to the vv. Like someone said above that's not a problem now since I am wearing a coat or jacket every day, but in a couple of months I plan on being naked 24/7, so no pockets :p

I haven't priced ego twists lately, but unless they are less than $20 for a real one, I would go vv3 every time if even just the express kit.
