advise on using drip tip on ego T

So I tried my drip tip on my ego T XL atty and I don't really get it. I am afraid I am going to pop the coil if I don't get enough in there and/or if I hold it too long. I put in 3 or so drop but didn't seem to get much so I add more but I was afraid I would pop it. It seems like I had to draw very slow compared to the tank. Adivse?

ego-T attys aren't meant for dripping. It can be done but it's pretty hard to hit that tiny point where the wick is. You aren't going to pop the coil by adding to much juice, you will only flood it. I would recommend you get a regular atty if you want to drip with your ego-t battery.

It is a regular atty. It's the XL one that goes with the cartridge. There is no wick. Just a coil thing. I'm not really worried about putting in too much. More worried about how I know if I have enough and/or when to add more. It didn't seem like it was giving off much so I stopped cuz I thought I would pop it.

Oh, ok, I misunderstood what you were using. Add more juice when the flavor and/or vapor gets weak or starts to taste dry or burnt.

I'm pretty sure that dripping with an unmodified ego T atty doesn't work well. I think I remember reading somewhere about taking some parts out - a bridge, if I remember right, was one of them.

I bought an seperate, plain atty for dripping. The atty's designed for the tanks are, well, designed for the tanks.

Oh, I misunderstood. Yeah, I think those should work for dripping. They may need a bit more the to get them going, since they are bigger than a regular atty, but other than that, I don't see any reason they wouldn't work.
