Aero Tank (air flow control locking up)

Has anyone ever had issues with the air flow control locking up on them, I just bought my first Aero tank and the air flow ring keeps locking up. First time it happend someone suggested putting it in the freezer for a few hours then running under hot water, well it worked but now it's jammed again and I couldn't even move it with pliers?? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Is it locked open or closed?

I saw on here someone else having the same problem and I believe they contacted where they got it from and got a new one. If that doesn't work you can buy just the base from a few places online.

That would be the way I'd go. No reason it should fail already.

This has happened to me. I used some needle nose pliers to fit into the ridges of the ring and turn it back down. But if somehow it has gotten cross threaded you might just want to return it. Seems to be a flaw in the design. A little too much play in that ring IMO.

I hear when you are assembling the tank you assemble it in the open position;
after its assembled then you can close.

Thanx not sure if I might just go with a new tank all together now or what. When it was working group though it was vape get great.. For two minutes

This probably won't help with your current situation but I have several PT 2's and didn't like the draw so I got some of the Airflow Control Valves same as on the Aerotank. A couple rings were hard to get started so I put a little Vasoline on them, after I got them loose, and haven't had an issue since (fingers crossed). I got mine from Kanger Airflow Control Valve - KangerTech US, LLC; now I have to figure out what to do with all my PT2 minis
