I had protank,II,3. they were not great. got the nautilus, thought it was okay. all I can say(imo) is that the aerotank is actually making me wonder why I build rba's. plus I can build(and) have these coils. if I want to buy them instead they are $2 vs. $4 for the nautilus. they last longer stock. rebuild and sky's the limit. I built with kanthal and ceramic and this(imo again) is better than anything kayfun. the flavor and production is huge. I am only running at 4.4v. more is too hot for me. plus it looks nice like an rba. not like a toy. I figure this is probably old news but I am elated. you can see my pic in the hana modz thread with a jmk shorty/fatty kayfun tip. ymmv.

I will have to agree with Johnny Phatsaqs no clearo comes close to a Kayfun although with my own coils and cotton wicks a PT was pretty good :)

I will attempt doing my own coils and cotton on my PTII and Aero this weekend. All I have is 28g kanthal. Will that work? I'm having trouble getting the +/- in the right places.

well like I said, ymmv. yeah the kayfun is better over all. when I factor in I can buy prebuilt coils that are pretty good....well okay I am lazy.
if a store sold prebuilt kayfun coils for $2 id be all over that. again, I am lazy. truthfully I have a lot of other stuff to do. I vape out in the fields riding tractors etc. so for me just screwing a coil is easier. I can build like 20 coils and have them ready to go when I can't sit out there fiddling with a screwdriver. especially in the dark. anyways the nautilus left me wanting something. the weird thing was the pro tanks made me never think about getting the aerotank. that was a mistake thus far. it is much better than the protanks and nautilus imo. it is not as good as a kayfun but it is impressive for a clearo. i also like the size of it. i am glad i did not get the mega. on the hana mini with a little good tip, fits right in pocket.

I don't think the kayfun was any better than my rebuilt clearos, but my aqua, domination! Not sure what the huge deal is with the kayfuns, its a nice device but a PITA. Just to rewick it you have to drain and pull the whole thing apart. Aqua or rebuilt clearo, just unscrew the bottom and the juice stays in the tank

When I'm not rockin an RBA I like my PT 2's with rebuilt coils and wicked with organic cotton with an aero base..... my opinion and my opinion only, they are much better than the Iclears.

I 100% agree and think you are the first person I have finally met that agrees. Everyone hypes up the Nautilus like crazy and I always felt that the vape was sub-par. Aerotank is the sh-- when it comes to clearos. Flavor is so crisp and clean and vapor production is easily a 7/10 (talking RDA/RBA vapor production) which is amazing for a clearo and the thing is DAMN SEXY!

I have two of the Aero Mega tanks. Only annoyance so far is the same problem I've had with every Kanger product. Gurgling.

The Nautilus doesn't gurgle or collect ridiculous amounts of condensation under the drip tip like Kanger products. I do enjoy, however, the taste of the Mega much better than the Nautilus unless it is a brand new Nautilus coil I'm using. The two are close with new coils.

I did not like the Aerotank and expressed so at a local vape store. Two other customers highly disagreed with me so we set a time to show up with our Aerotanks and me with my Nautilus as well.

One person said the choice was subjective and the other person agreed that the Nautilus offered more taste and a wider variety of airflow.

But If you think the Aerotank is better or not, get your hands on a new Aerotank-Mini or Aerotank-Mega - they without a doubt equal or exceed the Nautilus.

But I do not leave home without my Kayfuns!

I maintain the aero is better than nautilus. looks better, better volume, better taste. certainly more air flow options. how do you figure the airflow, 3 choices. there is a downside to the aero with a caveat too. the coils last about 50ml. the nautilus last about 100ml. a toss up because the aero coils are $2 and the nautilus $4. I already knew this having had ptii and pt3.

I also maintain, as good as a rba if you build them. the thing is you can have 20 ready to snap in. my rba is done and I have to sit there with a screwdriver. hard to do out in a field where I spend most of my time. yeah, okay kayfun is still better but this is the best option for me.

anyways whatever keeps anyone off analogs! I think for a lot of people the convince wins. until aero and nautilus rba was really the only game at all. really either of them are good alternatives.

edit: nautilus is easier to fill and gives a stronger flavor. it is an exaggerated flavor though. not the actual flavor I expect. the aerotank is much smoother. the nautilus has a lot of bite to the flavor. phil did say the aerotank has better flavor. plus the nautilus loks so ugly. the aerotank looks like a rba at least.

edit again: i don't know if i was doing a fair comparison. the aerotank likes 4.4v on 2ohms. the nautilus likes 5.2+v on 1.6 ohms. still, i think the aerotank tastes better and so said phil. the nautilus looks too ugly as well. the problem with the new aerotanks, mega, mini is they kind of ruined the infinitely variable flow control. they don't look as god either imo. plus with all the kanger dual coils the air goes right down only really warming one coil. perhaps that is why they like only 4.4v. the nautilus also fits any drip tip. the aero-protank not many. you really can't run these on a mech either. you need a dna30 or something. at the end of the day taste still wins. aerotank. the original one though.

well i guess the end of the story is i like them both. they both have their ups and downs. original aero is better than mkii. the ring has to always be adjusted. stupid not to have knurling to unscrew the bottom. nautilus seems to work with lower wattage and cooler vape. i guess that is why the aero tastes better. it will take 5+v. i guess i would seriously welcome the mega but waiting on order. even 3.8ml is a little low for me. also $50 for the nautilus and $4 coils makes it a little harder. it does produce more volume but much cooler and can't really taste. not completely worth the money. if i were to get just one id probably get the mega. well, not knowing yet.

I own three nautilus tanks, and one aerotank.

I wish I owned three aerotanks, and no nautilus tanks!

I bought into the hype and splurged. Picked up the aerotank as a backup and I was absolutely floored by it's quality, vapor and flavor production. Dumbfounded, even, considering I have pretty much hated everything Kanger has ever done....

Visit my blog for an indepth review on the aerotank if you really want to see my opinions  :vapor:
