The airflow control valve on the aerotank is a two piece design. It separates in the middle and there is a spring inside. The other day mine separated while in my pocket. It went back together fine and I haven't had any more problems with it but I was wondering if anyone has had this happen to them and if so did you come up with a fix for it?

I thought about putting a small dab of superglue on it but I didn't know if I would ever have a need to take it apart again and also sense it's an "airflow" valve, I was woried I might get the smell of the glue when inhaling. I dunno, it would probably go away after it dried but I hate to chance it.

Any experiences, thoughts, or ideas?

If it is working again and working fine, I wouldn't mess with it.

I don't think that I would put super glue on anything. Without really knowing where it is as it relates to the coil but knowing it is close, having it heated or even inhaled probably isn't a good idea. Especially when the bases are only $6

Me either.

I was playing pool the other night and had it in my pocket and I guess I leaned against the table and put pressure on it just at the right place and it came appart. Now if I try and separate it I can by wiggling the tank back and forth when it's attached to a battery. Not that I messing with it but after I put it back together I did wiggle it back and forth to see how loose it was. It's working fine now but I could take it apart if I wanted too.

Mine only had one spring. It came apart in my pocket so I know nothing was lost. Two halves to the valve and the collar, so yeah, I guess it is 3 pieces.

The air hole blocker/valve unscrew.. I accidentally uncrewd it too much and pop out of the base. :)

Second spring is between that valve and tank base.
