Hi guys,
I am trying to Recoil my aerotank.
I can do it. But can't quite get the ohms right.
I'm aiming for 2ohm like the standard coils to start with.
I know that each coil needs to be 4ohm to make it 2ohm overall.
But I can never quite hit it!

I brought 32awg kanthal off eBay. Aswell as a 1.5mm and 2mm drill bit.
I keep seeing people saying about internal diameter of the coil. Is this the drill bit size?

Any guide to the amount of wraps I should use for each coil?
Or could someone explain how to work it out.

Tried googling but got bloody confused! Lol

The ones I try come out to about 1.2 ohm at the moment!

To answer them in order.

1. The inner diameter of the coil is the diameter of what you wrap the coil on. Since overall resistance is based on the total length of the wire the thicker the rod you wrap it on the less wraps you will need.

2. I personally use this site for coil calculations. http://tomcatt2.com/pvapps.html . Use the 2mm rod wrap it 14 times each coil and torch to make sure all wraps are touching each other. That should get you right at 2 ohms total.
