Aerotank V2 Issues

Hi all!

I've purchased several Aerotank V2's in the past several months - given most of them away to folks that want to quit smoking. Today I had my second 'return' of a V2 from one of these people I've purchased them for. Their Aerotank V2's suddenly stopped working. The two people had twist battery mods but my mods displayed 'no atomizer' or flashed the ohm sign (eleaf, MPV, ipv, sigelei),. I've played with the pins and such but not with a whole bunch of success. I now have two Aerotank V2's that simply won't fire. It must be an issue with either the pin or insulator I imagine. I'm looking for others that have experienced this same issue and....was it solved? Many thanks vapers!

Hello and welcome, possibly the bottom pin has on the base of the v2 got pushed in too much and causing it not to make a connection. You can replace the bottom portion and they should be good. As a side note did you check the coils work in another tank?

I had what may be a similar/related issue with the v2 Aerotank I bought back in January.

Initially it worked fine for maybe a week, and then suddenly wouldn't be seen by any of my devices (MVP2, Innokin V V3, iStick 20 watt).
More usually the ohm readings were flaky -- a 1.8 ohm coil reading as, say 3 ohms in the Aerotank, but ok when placing the same coil into an Aerotank Mini. The same would happen if I put a known good coil into the Aerotank v2 -- fine in the Mini, flaky in the V2.

My best guess was there was a short or insulation problem in the v2 base where the coil screws into. I picked up a replacement base from a local B&M for around $5, and haven't had a problem since, and that with extensive daily use.

Also, I notice there is at least one YouTube video up -- which I haven't watched and might not be relevant -- about Aerotank connectivity problems/solutions.
