Hey guys , my name is Mike.

Im having a problem with my new kanger aerotank 2

Im new to the forum but not new to rebuilding kanger atties. I used the kanger t3s tank for a year on my vision spinner, and have been building the atties from the start. before upgrading to my K100 mod with its drip atty. so i know how to build micro coils and standerd coils.

When i got my aerotank v2 the first think i did was rip apart the dual atomizers to swap it for a single coil ,28 gauge 1.5 ohm build, ive also put 1.0 ohm builds in it. ive also build then with 34 gauge.
With no problems for 3 weeks.
until now.

i use a multimeter to check resistance after everybuild so im not guessing ohms.

Problem is i know my atomizers r perfect on the meter. when i place them in the aerotank V2 air control valve i cant get a resistance reading at all. knowing that its not my kamry contact its the aerotank base. if i touch pos. post then touch the atty itself i get a reading, if i touch the pos. post then touch the air control valve nothing. ....

i have tried everything for 2 days with nothing.Everything from pullin the pos pin down to adding more insulator. to flipping the pin upside down. pos pin is not the problem. it connects to atomizer. its the negative thats not working and i dont know why maybe ots a lil gremlin inside the base?

I still cant get it to fire. I think im fed up with kanger. waste of money.its going back in the box. never to be seen again. Makes me so upset. didnt even make it a month.I think im done with clearos altogether. Unless its a Genesis style tank, which is what i should have bought in the first place.
I only bought the aerotank cause its so easy to build their coils.

Good on you mate, you know you've been reading "I don't have a multimeter but I wrapped the same as the video except I didn't have a drill bit so used a hairbrush" too often in forum posts when someone just using a meter makes your pants tighter.

I'm a little loopy from giving blood, but some of this is confusing me, e.g.: "Everything from pullin the pos pin down to adding more insulator. to flipping the pin upside down." I get if your 510 is depressed you might need to pull down the pin, but how would you flip it or why? What is "adding more insulator"?

Here is my suggestion: only tighten it into the base until it stops and not farther. Only tighten it onto your mod until it stops, and not any farther. I'd generally suggest pulling the pin out a hair, but only if the first doesn't work.

With those coils, the silicone insulator is a little shorter than the older rubber ones (also resists scorching and flavor pickup better), but they can have a real tendency to flatten out with lots of use and cause a NON reading. The other thing that can happen is if they're borderline, tightening them in wrong can cause the coil to twist and give you a NON.

Lightning vapes has replacement insulators, or if you PM I can send you to a place I use that has both varieties for a lot less.
