Vaped almost 3 years at 18 mg all the time.

Then with my DIY it was easier to work out between 15-16 mg .......

Soooo when I decided to get a bunch of juice from AVE after a year off I went for 12mg .....

No issues though nic level was not a concern. Just seemed like I vape more than ever so it might be time to drop it down.

It seems when I drop down from 24 mg or when I use a higher ohm coil, I just wind up hitting it more frequently. YMMV

Yep thats the thing but I figured I'm about vaping as much as possible lately so might as well drop the nic down.
You can only take so many hits per day .... :D

I started at 20mg, dropped down to 15mg after about a month because the 20mg was way too strong for me and I was constantly getting headaches. Then I dropped to 10mg after about 3 months on 15mg. I found that each time I dropped down, I would almost double my juice intake for about 2 weeks and then it would go back to normal. Now I have been on 10mg for 6 months and will likely drop down to 5mg in the next two months. I find that with sub ohm and the RM2, that even 10mg is becoming too harsh for me. Plus one of my friends is on 5mg and I occasionally take hits off of his sub ohm stuff and I am completely satisfied with the throat hit.

I don't know how you guys can do the high nic stuff. I took a few drags off of one of the Njoy King's a while back and it was like 36mg IIRC and after 3 drags or so, I was dizzy and had a horrid headache. But I think I have always been sensitive to nicotine. When I smoked, if I was out drinking I could kill a pack of smokes in a few hours and then suffer terrible headaches the rest of the night.

I started high, but quickly rattled down to the 8-10mg range where I've been for a while.

To be honest, when I'm mixing, I don't measure that much anymore. I was vaping a 6mg a couple of days ago and didn't even notice it :D

However, if I vape 1.2 ohm or higher, I need the nic to be higher to get the TH I prefer. I'm hovering around 1 ohm these days, and 8mg hits the sweet spot for me.

Yep. I just ordered some VG and plan to cut my 24 mg down ATLEAST in half. I seem to be vaping so much more these days so its time to equalize :)

Shot thru cyberspace with my iGun :)

Nice plan, that was my thinking ....... I seem to be vaping non-stop anymore.
The good news is that I can go all day without a vape ..... and without killing anyone

I've said it before -- I am sure I now that I was not addicted to the nic when I smoked because I needed smokes every hour. Now if I get busy I can forget about vaping for hours at a time with no ill effect to me or those around me :)

I really think I only need the nic for the TH I crave. I've found that sour vapes give a nice TH at very low levels though.

I'm exactly where you are "Big Hitter." I tried to cut down from 24mg once a long time ago (with KR808d/carts) and couldn't do it, but now using the REO and RBAs I didn't have a hard time at all going down to 18mg and now down to 12mg.

When you think about it it makes sense. The REO/RM2 combo is like a smokestack compared to the small hits you get with a KR808d set-up.

Anyway; I don't find myself vaping more than usual. I chain-vape sometimes, and set it down and only hit it here and there sometimes.

Good luck,

Norman

I started vaping at 18mg in 2009 and cut back to 12mg rather quickly because I was vaping to much and getting very dizzy at 18mg. 2 years ago while vaping 12mg I recieved some eliquid for the first time from a new vendor and ended up in the ER, not knowing what really happened I went to 0mg and still there and happy just having that fixation. I would recommend anyone to cut their nic as much as possible because it is possible to overdose on nicotine. Never assume "I vape 18mg regularly and I'll be fine", certain things can change the way your body absorbs nicotine and you can become sick. Just my 2 cents worth.

Same here with desire for TH that nic provides. We dropped from 24 to 18 early this year. And our sweet juices don't do well much below 1.5 ohm. Miss that with lower nic BUT I'm keeping one REO loaded with no nic/no flavor VG and hitting it more and more with satisfying vape. Low enough ohm and TH almost there. (Earlier we tried several juice additives to enhance TH with lower nic but didn't like any.)

Don't ever want to to totally drop nic as it is medicinal for my ADHD and studies showing promise for nic treatment of Parkinson's and "Old Timers."

Years ago my sister was in hospital for thyroid tumor surgery. She was using patches and forgot to take them off when she put new one on, and had at least three on and had what appeared to be an accute OD nic reaction. Don't remember particulars but it was serious.

Very healthy DH, working full time, and just had his 78th birthday, had a few months of trouble with nic last year or before. But instead of BP increase his would drop dangerously low and pulse into 50s. He was doing 24 mg and it happened always when in recliner. Maybe chain vaping was involved. We abruptly dropped his nic a lot and it stopped. A month later he started working nic back up and it hasn't happened again. He now cuts our 18 mg, double shots flavor to ~12-14 with 0/0 PG or VG.

It was outside the norm for nic reaction. He has a benign, pretty good sized tumor in one heart chamber. No need to risk surgery as it doesn't cause turbulence with resulting clots. We don't know if that was the reason. He won't tell the heart docs because he doesn't want them on his case about nic. (His normal resting BP is about 135/90, pulse low 70's and no meds needed.)

Nicotine does have vasoconstricting affects but usual affect is increased BP.

It's amazing how many health care professionals smoked or still smoking. Several REOnauts included. DH, an M.D and me RN included. Even though virtually all of us knew the likelyhood of serious diseases and early death related to smoking.

When DH was in medical school, lste 50's and on, when there were few alternatives to smoking other than abstinence he had a patient who had a severe form of directly caused by smoking peripheral vascular disease. The man was in hospital for another, of many, amputations. He had lost both feet and all fingers. DH recounts how desparately he needed to smoke and how adept the man was holding a cigarette in his nubs while in hospital for amputation!!!!! (Way back when smoking was allowed in hospital rooms and even cigarette machines in lobbys). Mighty powerful chemicals and addictions. But knowing and seeing is not enough to keep a lot off peeps off. I quit successfully many times, over the years, for months to years using hypnosis, acupuncture, drugs. But always failed in long run. I know what drug withdrawal feels like. A couple times I quit I had pretty severe smoking chemicals withdrawal in the major physical sense. Most severe was abrupt cold turkey with acupuncture and mouth spray. DH suggested I check into hospital. Almost did it was so painful and disturbing.

Even though I still do pretty high nic my ml has reduced from 9-12/per day to 3-6, same nic level juice. It's getting easier and easier to go longer times without vaping especially supplimenting with some no nic. I no longer panic when I have to go hours without vaping BUT getting that first drag, after hours without is a huge relief!! I'm pretty sure I could quit but don't want to. That may necessitate some meds for ADHD spectrum to remain as stable as vaping provides. Would rather not do.
