I'm finally off of cigs.....truly amazing. I ended my smoking career the moment I started using my ecig. That was 36 days ago. Longest I ever made it cold turkey or with the nic gum was half a day. I was addicted in every way. I now find myself sorry that I spent so much money on analogs, makes me wanna cry. I have not had one single craving for analogs .....not one! I am truly amazed. If I had to go back to real cigs I would have a meltdown.

Congrats! And I completely understand.

I smoked for 20 years. A lot. After moving to Phoenix a few months ago, my wife and I had both met a number of people at our respective workplaces who were doing this vaping thing. One month ago tomorrow, we decided we'd hit one of the local shops here are check it out. We got set up with the stuff with no real commitment to fully quitting smoking.

Neither of us has had a cigarette since. She broke down and bought a cigar a few days in, lit it, and tossed it after 2 drags and cleaned her mouth out. Said it was disgusting like she had eaten an ashtray.

Just absolutely mindblowing.

Grats to us all =)

Welcome Pita!

I'm new to vaping as well, after 35 years as a smoker.

I know you said you didn't want it to turn into a hobby, but I think of it as in investment in my health and peace of mind.

I would highly recommend you check out the deal at 101Vapes on the iTaste MVP v2. The ECF peeps are very positive review-wise, and the price they have on it right now is 20.00 less than anywhere else (39.99). It has a long lasting battery that will change light colors as the batt runs down- green/yellow/red. I got it for the built-in ohm checker, as I want to start trying to do my own rewicking.

As far as craving, mine is worst in the morning, but a few hits and it eases off.

Thanks to all for the encouragement. I knew exactly how I wanted to do this as I was researching ecigs.....for example, I knew I wanted tobacco flavor juice but also knew it wouldn't taste like a burning cig. I was prepared for that, found a tobacco flavor I liked (tastes like an unlit cig smells, no vanilla, Carmel, etc. was just gonna use that one flavor but ran into nasty case of vapers tongue and changing flavors helped me a lot. The only thing bothering me now is the shoddy made tanks and inconsistencies on all ecig products, hard to tell a knock off from a name brand. And to confuse it more , sometimes knockoffs are better. Lol. Makes it scary to buy anything. they're not cheap and I hate wasting money. Have learned that there are issues with them that can sometimes be fixed so that makes me feel a little better.

Thanks for the recommendation, I will go look at it. I want to rewick too and DIY juice....but I need more courage. Lol. Like I said, I have had zero cravings in all this time and I am truly grateful. I had no expectations when starting this cuz I knew if I failed it'd be like all the other quit failures. I have not pressured myself at all which is better for me. I'm so happy this is working. My car smells horrible tho. Lol

Sorry to hear you're so delusional. As everyone knows, e-cigs are a gateway to tobacco cigs, not the other way around. I suggest you make an appointment with the nearest shrink to get your thinking right. ;)

Like you, I smoked dang near 40 years and was amazed at how easy it was to put them down and not miss 'em. Congrats on making the switch and welcome to ECF!

Congrats to all current NON SMOKERS

I have been smoking for 40 years at one point 4 PAD.
Tried the gum, patches, and Chantix but unable to get below 1 pad.

Until I got my Ego C4 and 1000mah battery kit with 18ml nic tobacco flavor and 18ml coffe flavor for variety.

First day using it and down to 1/2 pack{analog ony during severe cravings}

I think if I set up a clearomizer with 24ml nic for use during the severe cravings, I may be able to drop the analogs completely.
