I started smoking at the age of 14 and smoked 2-2.5 PAD from the age of 18 until the day after Christmas 2011. My 56th birthday was January 1, 2012. I've had a few cigarettes here and there, but have no desire at all to take up smoking again, and the few cigarettes I did smoke were always "stress smokes". You can do this :)

The slow delivery is probably my biggest revelation for me so far and it will take some practice for me to get the "rhythm" down. This morning was the toughest because the instant rush was not there but it was close enough for me to win the battle.

I was lucky in that I was never the type to light a smoke right after rolling out of bed. I didn't like smoke & toothpaste. So as a new vaper, I kept a tank right on the nightstand and DID vape first thing. That headed off that "first cig with coffee" urge. IF you were the type to wake & light, it is much harder, it takes about 20 minutes from first vape to realize the effect, and no rush.

Next thing is, don't count your MG. Whatever you smoked as a smoker daily, you're initially going to ZOOM way past that level. That's what will keep your mind off of the cigs. Don't worry about it. I don't remember if you said how much you smoked, but I was 1.5 PAD. I was probably vaping 2 to 2.5 worth (and they're not apples and apples, you need more vaping MG of nic, because it isn't 100% utilized like a cig) so if you're PAD or 1.5 PAD, use 24mg. Use 30 if you smoked more. If less, still start at 24mg. STAY there for a couple months, and vape your ... off. You might even have sleep problems from the nic. Sleep problems are healthier than cigs. After a month or so, your breathing is better, your taste senses are better, and you realize you're way better off. You may have other issues. PG or VG issues as you find your perfect mix, etc. You can read all about that here.

After a couple months, start buying 18mg juice. You don't have to switch ALL your juices at the same time, have both for awhile. You'll know what you need during the day. As you run out of 24 and have more 18's, start buying a few bottles of 12mg and use those after 7pm. You'll sleep better, and you'll be dropping your daily intake of MG. That's where I am now. I'm looking forward to the 24mg being all gone, and having only 18 and 12 so I can start throwing some 6mg into the mix.

I have no plan on ever dropping below 6mg, or maybe 3. I LIKE NICOTINE. There, I said it. At a low dose of 3mg or even 6, it has VERY little impact on your health, but we know it is calming and soothing. SO WHAT? It beats a valium addiction, or xanax or whatever. And when life gets stressful, enjoy the fancy mods you're surely going to own by then. In fact, good advice is just go ahead and get the Provari or Caravela or GG now. You're going to own one, trust me. The little volts were nice, but eventually, they don't produce enough vapor to keep you happy. Nah, go through the Ego phase first. They're economical, and you'll want them for backups when you are doing dirty work or whatever. An Ego Twist 1000Mah and some Vivi Nova's Mini's with thread covers (use the search function, you'll find them) will get you through the first few months, while you decide where you want to spend some real money.

OK, I've already told you too much. We each get our own adventure in this, and they're all unique, and wonderful. Enjoy yourself. Oh, and I will give you one SOLID GOLD tip. Buy your juice at Welcome to Ahlusion I don't work there, own any of it, or anything like that, but I went through a lot of juice before I found that place, and damn near everything there is beautiful. Nothing compares. THAT you can take to the bank.

Easy Ivan....yep it is amazing. I was a PAD smoker for a long time. I toyed with vaping for about a month and figured it was pretty good stuff. I tossed all my real cigs away on Nov 18...and it really has not been hard at all. Oh a few speed-bumps, but I just go vape those moments away and I am good again. It's been 26 days now and I like this stuff better than the cigs. It tastes better, it doesn't burn, and there is no CO or tar in there.
