Great job! You should have everything you need!

One tip if I may:

Paint the outside graduations of your syringes with some fast drying clear nail polish as soon as you get them. They will then last for a really long time. If you don't paint them with the nail polish the graduations will wear off rather quickly.

Good luck!

Great tip Pete, I use 2" wide clear packaging tape but have to rethink that now and consider snagging some polish (when she's not looking).

So a bunch of the stuff came in .... Capellas looks to be the slowest to ship :( .

Searched out some percentages used on a couple flavors and put some 10 mil, single flavor attempts on the shelf.
Being a menthol fan, had to mix up some Adam's Apple. HALF the menthol would be better, lol. Did a mix of the Vanilla Bean Ice Cream with a few drops of cotton candy, wash't half bad right away, hopefully better tomorrow. Wife loves banana cream, found posts where people were saying to use only 2% (??) gave that a go, will try it in the morning.

If anyone has some good noob recipes to share, I'm all ears... uh, eyes.

Fun stuff.

My first few orders with Capella shipped super fast, and with the last few it's gotten slower, and slower. I don't know what's up with that?? Maybe they hired lots of holiday help and recently let them go?? I don't have a clue....

Since you aren't afraid of fruit and menthol, you should try coconut menthol. It was one of the first juices I made and still one of my favorites. I just dissolved menthol crystals in some base (50/50) then added 5% of that to 10% lorann coconut. This is definitely better if it steeps at least overnight. You can adjust the flavors accordingly, of course.

You can get ethyl maltol crystals and make your own sweetener or "cotton candy" at ecigexpress. I also got vanillan crystals there but haven't tried them yet. Anyone else try them? also didn't see if anyone else mentioned this but it looks like you got 36mg nic? I don't know what mg you vape but you might want to get a higher mg nic so you can try various percentages of pg/vg without knocking your nic level down too far if you want higher vg. Ithink it's cheaper that way too.

Okay, first, thanks for the continuing input!

Second. I'm turning into a flavor junky.
I'm up to 32 Capella & 33 TFA. Em & menthol crystals, tart & sour, magic mask and added some pg to the inventory.

I better make some good stuff! Tried a couple after reading the Vinagar thread, THAT info made a MAJOR difference!

Okay... this is frustrating !
Several attempts in, all tastes like crap!

Even single flavors. I've made test batches of single flavors at 10 & 20% flavoring. Even Str8's "everything sucks except cappella" flavors.

Example mix;

10 ml
pre mixed 50-50 pg/vg base (xtremevaping from 50mg).
10% Capella Vanilla Custard.
Let it sit for 2 days. Very little if ANY flavor. Certainly no "custard" .
10% + 2 drops Cotton Candy. Same result
Same thing at 20%.
Tastes flat and stale, at any voltage.

I've mixed many 3 ml samples, 1 flavor each. Nothing at 20%, 10% seems to have more flavor, but lifeless.

I've mixed with 80% vg as well.

Am I missing something obvious here? Nothing is REMOTLEY close to the flavor level of bought juice.

I've messed around with lemon juice and vinegar as well. They seemed to just flatten it all out even more.
I've tried hot water bath, which at most, sped-up the color change.

Frustrated!!!

(btw, pretty sure my taste buds are back, as everything else I taste/eat is way more flavorful than years past)

I tried Capella Vanilla custard at 5% (20 drops base & 1 drop VC). It was plenty strong with a lot of flavor.

I suggest you mix some "base" up with no flavor at your vg/pg % and nic level. Then use this base to test flavors. You can start at 20 drops base & 1 drop flavor. It will get you close without wasting a lot. Just a suggestion.

Edit: I also added 1 drop of Cinnamon coffee cake to 5ml of a base and it has good flavor. (I am with Hoosier about too much flavoring)

Okay, so the 1 drop flavor, 20 drops premix was nice! Looks like i finally have a good starting point. Thanks for the tips ya'll.

I understand differing tastes, but how can there be this overwhelming suggestion i read all over the place to start at 10%? Ive seen recipies at 30%, with the same favors? Doesnt seem like there would be nearly that much difference in taste? I mean how could any companies make a universally liked flavor? I must me missing something.

Let us know what you try at what %. I am still trying single drops of the Capella flavors. The Cinnamon Coffee Cake is my favorite out of the 5 flavors I got.

Being from Oklahoma, I want you to know how much it pains me to help a Texican :)
