I've tried a bunch of tea flavorings and decided on my favorites:
Green Tea by The Flavor Apprentice
Black Tea by Flavour Art
(but TFA's Black and FA's Green are EWWWW!)

I like a 2:1 ratio of green to black. I'm using 3% Green Tea, 1.5% Black Tea, which leaves room for additions.
Adding a little TFA Sweet Raspberry hit the spot. So does a little pomegranate. Thought I'd like lemon, honey, and cream (like I drink actual tea), but maybe my sweet tooth is on vacation today - I prefer just a little fruit with tea, nothing else.

I planned on making spicy chai flavors, but this is so mellow and relaxing, perfect for a lazy, snowy day.

Which tea flavorings do you like? What do you add to yours?

So excited I mixed 30ml of the All-Day Earl Grey recipe... and then found it overpowering. And couldn't find a happy medium between too weak and too strong. That bergamot just keeps on giving. Set that aside to try another day.

Mixed the Vanilla Chai recipe and really like that one. Bought, but haven't mixed, TFA Black Tea. Though it's been getting bad press... :)

We've got Chai Tornado on the way from NN. If it's anything like their Mayan Mocha (as far as authenticity and awesome spices), the Chai will likely be fantastic! And it's VG based (yay!)...and will likely work at 2.5 - 5% (yay again!). We were extremely disappointed with the TFA Chai (the spices were wrong/weak to us).

Hi HIC, can you elaborate on what makes TFA's Black Tea ewww? I have a bottle sitting here staring at me and I'm wanting to mix it with some Blackberry, but unsure of the %'s . At what % did you mix your black tea? Did you add any fruit, cream etc? Inquiring minds want to know, lol

Hi LV, glad you liked the Vanilla Chai. Did you mix as stated or did you change it up any? I'm curious if there are any other chai variations out there. Twining's has a Spiced Apple Chai and a Hazelnut Chai that I've been thinking about mixing up but haven't got around to yet.

Aww - don't take my word for it. Some people like it. I tried 2%, 3.5%, and 5% and thought 3.5% was plenty. But it tasted to me the same as it smells from the bottle, sort of dirt-like I guess. If you like the smell, you'll probably like the flavor. No, I didn't add a thing. If I dislike all aspects of a flavoring plain, it's unlikely I'll like it doctored up. I was trying FlavourArt's Black Tea at the same time - it smells and tastes "just right" to me, so that's what I'll use. (but FlavourArt Green Tea reminds me of pasture grass.)

Thanks for the quick response. I think I'll pass on this flavor for the time being. I'm just not in the mood to be disappointed tonight, lol.

I had to make some substitutions so mixed as follows:

Vanilla Chai: 2% Chai Tea + 2% Horchata + 2% French Vanilla + 1% Sweet Cream + 1% Honey + 1% Vanilla Swirl + 1% EM

Main additional note is that several flavors contain alcohol, so steep with the cap off. Thanks for sharing this.

Hmmm, Hazelnut Chai? Doesn't that sound good...
