AGA-T air hole to big

I stupidly drilled out the air hole to big on my AGA-T. I skimmed some Google posts about enlarging the hole, and saw a thread where a guy said 1.5mm....so that's what I did. After, I read the whole post and he goes on to say most people think that's too big so between 1mm & 1.2mm is better... Oops.

The draw is WAY to airy now. Is there anything I can do to fix it or am I screwed?

I did the same thing with my CHobra. I put a piece of clear tape around it and used that to kindof make a new hole/restrict the large hole. The only other bright idea I had was to put a small amount of epoxy inside the cap over the hole and then you can work it with a smaller bit to get it open to the right point. Only down side to this is that you will need to wait for the epoxy to fully cure.

I did the same exact thing when I first got mine.
Clear tape does work... but I noticed it would only last so long.

I actually used some JB Weld to fix this.
buy some fast acting JB Weld (about 9 dollars)
Clean the top cap really good.
Mix the JB Weld on a paperplate or something with a toothpick.
Apply the JB Weld to the air hole.
Make sure to try and fill it in good.... and then whipe off any excess that is around the outside of the hole.
Let this sit over night... probably only need 5ish hours....but just let it sit.
The next day take some very light grit sand paper and sand the area until it is smooth.
Re-drill a 1mm air hole (or whatever you want)
Re-polish the top cap if you want

Never done it but as a mental exercise, I always thought about drilling and threading the air hole, then having threaded inserts (juse a small piece of threaded rod with the hole in the center and a slot across the top for a small screwdriver to allow imstallation and removal) with different sized holes to thread into the now enlarged and threaded air hole. Could adjust draw to suit your mood. Anyone do anything like that. Seems simple enough but I've never seen it anywhere.

I think the work involved in this would not be worth it and over kill, this airhole at 1/16 is more than enuff for proper airflow,so the 1m hole from 1/16 inch differerence is so small,it would not matter, who has a hole over 1/16 in?
