I've tried cig paper method drill method combo of both lol ! I'm using ss mesh 400 100% vg and been at it for 3 days starting to lose it lol

It takes time and patience, one tip before you roll your mesh turn the edge under - put a ruler over it so you have a 1 or 2mm edge, use your nail slide it under the mesh to lift it, remove ruler and make flat - untidy mesh edges cause problems, also this thread helps a lot in explaining hotspots and how to place the coil on the positive post of Aga-T.

Don't lose hope, it is frustrating, it will work and when it does it's exceptionally rewarding. Keep at it.;)

Also, I've read that higher grades of mesh yield better wicking results, especially when dealing with the sometimes-unbearable nature of VG. I just purchased #400 mesh for my first attempt at RBAs before stumbling upon this thread:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modding-forum/330407-500-ss-mesh.html

Apparently #500 mesh can wick VG up to twice as fast as #400. Now I have to use up a square foot of this stuff before I can order the #500 for my VG-heavy juices, and from what I can tell by other members' reports of SS wick's lifespan, it's gonna be a while.

You can increase wicking by cheating, use BluegrassLover's method and you will have no wicking issues or hotspots at all.
I use 325 & 400 on an Aga-T V1 70/30 v/p, there are many tricks and methods you need to find the right one for you.
You could also opt for mwa102464's dual wick#23, a wick within a wick and said to work a treat.
