I have one on the way. It's my first rba. I've been doing this stuff for a long time, and think I'll get the wick and coil down OK. But I'm not interested in syringe filling at all. So from the start I need to do something different.

Can I just drill out the other wick hole to make it bigger and shove some cotton in it to plug it up or something?

What the best way to handle this "issue" for me?

I use a needle-tip bottle, although others are saying you can use a "standard" juice bottle tip and just press it firmly into the fill hole. I have yet to try that personally.

You could drill it but I wouldn't without first seeing how you get on. You may at some point want to carry it with the fill screw in place. Some are using this atty with the fill screw in place and reportedly getting good wicking (depends largely on your wick setup and what mesh you use).

all those work ok, but what if you want to take out some juice? lets say you have just filled up your tank and for some reason you never quite got rid of a hotspot from an initial set-up, with all that juice in the tank it will be kind of hard to rectify. sometimes you will need to get the juice out and the best way is with a syringe.

I just flip it upside down and use a juice bottle (needle tip or nipple tip) to suck it back out. Works fine.
