AGA-T - what's the post with the screw for?

I just received my AGA-T2 today, and I'm wondering what that post with the screw in it is for? It's too far from the wick hole, unless I use the other hole, but then why would there be two fill holes side by side? Double wick?

All the pics of set ups I've seen haven't used the post with the screw for the wire. Anybody actually using it?

Its for Silica wicks - it acts as a ground for a vertical standing silica (or cotton) wick.
The other one is for Stainless Steel or similar wicks.

It's for yanking out with a pair of pliers!

I use it as the ground on one of my setups. It brings the bottom of the coil up a bit so I can keep the wraps tighter at the top.

Here's a typical setup for a silica U-wick using the negative screw post: Aga-T Silica Wick Set-Up Pics

Silica doesn't wick well in Gennys without creating the u-wick, so this gives you that option. I've done hemp u-wicks in the AGA-T2 without using that post though, instead using the negative screw -- it's just another option.
