I recently found an AGI for $11 (101 Vapes) and have heard it makes a pretty good dripper. Being 22mm, and looking as nice as it does, I couldn't pass it up. I quickly learned that it is prone to leaking through the holes in the deck (wick/air/fill holes for tank mode), and since I never planned on using it as a tank (I hate gennies... a lot) I decided to fix it once and for all.
I put the 3 socket head screws that come supplied in the holes, and got them flush with the deck. Removed all of the rubber bits, the + post and the - post screw, and 30 seconds with the TIG welder did the job. Voila! No more leaks. She's a pretty nice little dripper now.
If anyone else is thinking of busting out their welder, I set it to around 60 amps (no strength needed, just a seal!) and didn't go beyond 75-ish % with the foot pedal (1/16" thoriated tungsten w/a #5 cup). Be careful on the hole nearest the negative post. Too much heat and you can easily warp the post, making it very difficult to insert the screw. The other 2 holes (nearer the center post) are easy to burn through into the recess for the + post, which could possibly make fitting the grommets/post more difficult, or cause a leak if there's a void.
All in all, it took me less than 5 minutes, and now I've got basically a 22mm IGO-L for $11. Can't complain.
