Hello, I am new to the forum so I can't ask this in the original thread but can anyone tell me how to do this fix properly? This is quoted from the original thread...

"Yes, the AGI drips through the hex screws. If you know anything about basic home repair, however, you'll know that you can get a roll of Teflon tape (plumber's tape) for less than $1 or gasline tape for less than $3. Wrap this magic tape a few times around the threads of the screws, screw them in, and the problem will be fixed. Takes between 1-5 minutes depending on your level of dexterity and/or experience."

Can anyone tell me how to do this in more detail? I want to avoid leaks on the AGI in dripper mode but I do not want to ruin the threads or mess anything up. The forum will not let me reply in the original thread even though I have 5+ posts. Cheers.

The threaded screws that plug the holes that are used to wick from the tank in genesis-mode are metal-to-metal, so some liquid can sneak through and cause a minor leak. If you take up some of that gap with a soft material, it can stop the leak. Plumbers use Teflon tape on metal-to-metal threaded joints for this exact reason. It is super thin stuff. Just peel off a length of it and wrap it around the threads of the screw, then thread it into the threaded hole. Trim off any excess. Voila.

I use about 3 wraps of Teflon tape on AGI and IGO-F grub screws.
Hold tape still and wind screw clockwise to attach tape.
Should be wound in a manner that tightening screw does not tend to peal tape edge up (clear as mud).
Tighten till Allen wrench starts to flex.
No leaks for me.
If still leaks use more tape and torque a little tighter.

Anybody having trouble with the hex screw? I can't seem to get it out with the included tool.

BTW, when I attached the tank while using in drip mode seem to work as well. I mainly did that to catch the leaking liquid, but the tank stayed dry even after all day vaping. I am guessing the tank creates air pressure from the bottom and prevents the leakage.

I have 3 AGIs in operation and all hex screws are ok. If your hex head is stripped there is many options, including Lisle super out extractor.

Only AGI issue I can find is the hot spring needs replacement to reduce voltage drop if vaping at once considered high now considered normal wattage. Define run on sentence.

Thanks. If the screw doesn't come out, I will just drill it out and make it a permanent genesis mode. I haven't encountered the voltage drop issue yet but seems like it is a common issue. Planning on using a tip from a juice bottle for that.

I'm wondering if clay would be the best way to measure optimal hot spring by-pass tube length.
The new AGI will need shorter by-pass than original AGI.
