Hello Just got my first bottom feeder and my first coil is working well. No hot spots,no hot legs, 1.8 ohm and using hemp wick. But it faintly tastes like burnt rubber or car oil. I did wash it out when I got it. Right now it is soaking in alcohol. The grommet on the positive post was not getting burned, no wire touching it. Is this a normal issue? What could be the causes? The taste is faint but enough to suck. Is it machining oil from production that I did not wash off well enough? It is not a wicking problem. I checked that out. I hope someone can help.
