From what I have found from doing research the flooding has happened for 1 of 2 reasons:
- Stupid People and not attaching the bottom adapter
- Cartos aren't wide enough to fit tank o-rings

Oh my AGR works flawlessly, actually. I dropped my AGR and cracked the plastic tank. The unit functions the same but I'd like to get a replacement in the event I drop it a second time.

Eric, I got mine from you. I also have to agree that they work perfectly fine when used right. I can't imagine it being the tank. Deamon sounds about right in his discoveries. If a tank is flooding the Carto, then people must me doing it wrong. The tank has to be air tight to work right. The reasons he stated above, plus not having the fill hole screw on tight. Or punching the whole in the wrong place. Or a not so snug fitting drip Tip.

I emphasize the screw on the fill hole though because 1 it's in the way and I assume people take it off so they can fit their drip tips on. And 2 because 1 day I didn't have mine on tight and it fell out and it started flooding. I just think people don't know how to use it. How can a Carto flood when it's just sitting in juice and it be the tanks fault?

Just my two cents worth.

I also have an AGR from DV and it leaked once. But I realized that while I was putting in my drip tip after cleaning I must have twisted the carto and accidentally loosened the bottom. After tightening it again, no more flooding. I really like these. I want to get another one, but I guess I'll just have to wait.

Sorry to point to a different vendor, but vaporalley.com had them in stock, when I ordered earlier today.

Whether the hole is too big or the carto too small or the O rings are too narrow...it all boils down to a failure in design.

If the tanks were designed to be used only with certain diameter cartos, or only certain brand cartos, that shoukd be stated in the product description. I have dozens of boxes of cartos. I am not going to jettison them all (I have more than one brand) to accommodate a single tank that requires a specific type. It works good when and if it works, but it's too fiddly and flawed for mainstream, imo. A design overhaul is in order. It was a great idea. Just inconsistent execution.

QC isn't so great with them either. One of my bottom pieces didn't even have the slots on it. The surface was totally smooth. Duh. No airy no vapey!

I agree and that's why I didn't reorder... the manufacturer didn't even acknowledge any issues. :(

Eric you really try to look out for us that's why your my go to and don't wish to deal with anyone else.

:) Thanks

safety is always first, but quality is a close second, to be fair the return or defect rate wasn't extremely high and I could have absorbed it but why carry something that is going to be a dud for some people, it's just not right. who wants to open a package, load something with liquid and have it all dump out in minutes? Even if that's one out of 10 that is just not acceptable.

when they do get it right, I'll get them again because I do love it :)
first they have to acknowledge the issue otherwise.. no order. I am pretty sure they are getting other complaints so it shouldn't be long before there is a "version 2" :)
