AHA Shoots Itself in the Foot - Again.

I saw this news on TV this morning and commented posted to FB:

Translation: Nintendo bought the right to put the AHA logo on some of their products for $1.5 Million. Corruption or just business as usual? Yes.

It's also disturbing what the AHA says they are going to use the money for: "The AHA says the money will be used to educate Americans about heart disease and stroke prevention, by linking health information websites to Nintendo's Wii games."

The AHA is now an advertising agency. :(

Ok let me get this straight.

I can use a Wii to replace the walking, running, jogging, etc that you want me to do,
but
I cant use an electronic vaporizer to quit smoking analogs that you also want me to do.

I think the Wii must immediately be regulated by the FDA as a medical device intended to help stimulate blood flow or as a cure for teen obesity. (Not to pick on anyone, but see how easy it is to come up with the same argument the FDA has about PV's.)

and the AHA must explain why they are promoting an unproven medical device that can increase heart rate, cause perspiration, oh wait, maybe it's the same as the nicotine that we are not getting from the ecigs thing here. You may be off the couch, but your still not getting a real work out.

If I have a heart attack while using a Wii, and i used that Wii based on the advice of the AHA, can I sue the AHA for promoting a weight loss device not approved by the FDA?

Follow the money folks. You will always see who's buying out who.

I dont know about you guys but i'm going home to do some SERIOUS damage to myself on a WII. Wish me luck ppl. If i hit the big money i might even share!
