All over the place
So, I'm looking for another mod and I cannot decide. Currently have several Reo's, Nemesis clone, Vamo V2, and a Provari. Not sure if I want VV/VW or another mechanical.

I like the Provari, but its rather expensive for what you get. I have thought about another but they just don't grab me.

The Vamo is good, but it feels cheap. The bottom cap comes loose and I have to reset it. The buttons are noisy and its big (tall). Otherwise its a good mod.

The Reo's are great, but I have plenty and leaning towards another tube mod.

The Nemesis clone is made well but the button, well, sucks. Keeps sticking. When it works, works great. When I set it down without locking, it usually fires...I have the magnet's in the switch.

Suggestions anyone? I have looked at the Zmax and the new Spire. Not much I can find for good VV/VW other than Provari though. I like a quality unit. Maybe mechanical, but I really don't dig the bottom buttons. I had a Legend and never loved it.

If price isn't an option, why not get a ZNA 30? They may be out-of-stock right now (don't know). If mechanical is you're thing, but don't want a bottom button, check out the Poldiac.

https://www.google.com/search?q=ZNA...j4&sourceid=chrome&espv=210&es_sm=93&ie=UTF-8 (interview with Zen)

http://www.electronicstix.com/products/zna-by-house-of-hybrids (ZNA 30)

http://mmvapors.com/page/default.asp?id=63&la=1&ctID=55 (poldiac)

And of course you could get a 69 or something with a GG-like button, but I don't like a "real" button that close to the bottom.

EDIT: Sorry for the redundancy, but I just saw Vagabondnurse's post.

I have a GP PAPS, and a GP Lux. I know Idaho has them too. GP makes the best mechanical mods I've ever owned. They are bottom button, but the button is smooth, flawless, and it only takes about millimeter of push to fire. And, you do not have to lock them to stand them upright on a table...most cleverly designed. They do have a lock if you need to put them in a bag or briefcase. Very shortly, the v3 of these devices will come out, like within a week. They will also feature a GPin on the top cap...self adjusting for the battery and the mod. Both of these are 22mm mods. They do make a PAPS X that is available now with the GPin, comes with a sectional tube for different sized batteries.

There is a very active thread on ECF; we'd love it if you'd stop by.

First and important, do you want a variable voltage or mechanical? :)
Akdare is correct on all counts, oh...and Awesome! All I would add is the quality, service, care and Perseas's love for us. It doesn't get better. Recently getting a few loaners back I think I am around the 17 mark to include my flat out kick ... wife's :).

I could go either VV or Mech. I have and use both. I think I'd like one of the GP's, but appears hard to get and has a bottom button. Those bottom buttons and I don't agree.

Sometimes I feel like such a Luddite because I refuse to use FB but I just can't bring myself to use that bit of junk. The privacy policies alone should be enough to scare off most rational people. Glad to see I'm not the only one who dislikes it.

Not only do I dislike Facebook (those privacy policies) but I get irked when business put their sales up there and FB makes you create an account to see them. Makes me stay away from those businesses.

I know it's not up there in terms of prestige with the big boys, but the MVP2 has been an absolute champ for me. Any issues earlier iterations may have had have been worked out. It's solidly built, requires almost no maintenance, and it's VV (or VW if you prefer). And it's affordable. I didn't think I wanted a box mod, and I still feel silly using it out and about, but I have no regrets.

I just got an MVP yesterday-my first box mod. I didn't think I wanted a box mod either, but so far I like it! It actually might be easier on my arthritic hands, compared to curling my hands around an ego or tube mod. I got an 808 version from Smokeless Image, so now I may need to get a 510 version for my protanks and nautilus.....sigh...

Yeah I've only owned the cheap stuff so far. I have 2 sigieli zmaxes for my main device, and aside from aesthetics/prestige I guess I don't see a reason to upgrade. I mean.. it gets the job done. I haven't had any problems with them. Gets me up to 15w, measures resistance, has a nifty puff counter etc, etc etc. Have dropped it many many times, and it still powers on reliably.

I just look at the price of high end gear and think- hmmm, is this going to enhance my vaping experience THAT much more? I don't think it would, personally.

Now ask me why a Minkoff bag is 10x's better than a knockoff and I'll have a different story...

Someday I might fall victim to this whole "must have the good stuff" mentality, but as of now there's no one in my inner circle who's turning their nose up at my budget gear, which honestly, that's probably the only reason I would buy it, for the bragging rights.

But I'm far too humble for that. ;)

I've taken to my Kayfun clone and am ready to invest a little more in it (now that I've decided it's worthwhile). Thanks you all for the help you've provided. Should I grab the coil jig that Idaholandho mentioned -- and if so where is it for sale? Or this number from Sharir's sig? Artistic Wire's Coiling Gizmo Deluxe Econo Winder - Lima Beads Also, I've seen mention of sterilized cotten at CVS. Can anyone provide a link showing what I'm after. Also, big big thanks to New Kid for having sent me the coil and starter bundle of cotton.

I also have a Paps X (upgraded GPin) and Paps Lux. They're among the finest mechs I've ever used -- highly, highly recommended. The workmanship is stellar. For those of you considering them, stock opens up monthly and sells out quickly. It's a little effort to acquire one, but it's absolutely worth it.

Right, LOLOLOL. :p

For real, though, I've never seen a person using anything other than an NJoy or Blu in my travels in the area. My bottom feeder has been called all kinds of things, from a walkie-talkie to a detonator. The few tube mods I own get even more stares.

For those of you that have tried Gold Member....did the coffee flavor go away after steeping? I got a sample in one of my orders, and it tasted so much like coffee, I emptied it out of the clearo I had it in....not a coffee fan, but love caramel.

I read a few pages back that it is better after a few weeks and that the salt comes out..but does it loose the coffee flavor completely?

The sterilized cotton is found in the medical gauze area. The box doesn't look like that anymore, though, so that may throw you off. It's white with gray and blue on it now.

Well I notice vaping is really catching on in my area... I've seen vapers out in the wild using some types of impressive shiny metal things which appeared to be expensive from a distance.

The day someone walks up to me and inquiries what I'm vaping on, then upstages me with theirs.. then I guess I'll be forced to shell out for a paps, or gg something or other.. whatever the cool kids are using these days. I don't want to be the only kid in school wearing monkey plastics.. you know?

I've learned that there will always be someone with something more flashy than me; it's a never-ending race, with all the advancements and new mods made in this industry. Plus, there's a limit to what I'm willing to spend on this. So I don't get caught up in that stuff. I just ask them, what are you vaping in that Vapeatron 3000?

I use to feel the same way about bottom buttons, but trust me, you have never experienced a bottom button like the GP ones....they are amazing!! Super easy to fire and never cause my hands to ache like some others have. Honestly, best bottom button EVER!!!! :)

I've used VAMOs, KMAX's, a few other things of the same sort, an MVP 2, and an Evic. I dig the MVP 2 but the Evic is my favorite. I gave all the others (except for the MVP which someone is borrowing) to friends. I liked that I was able to get the evic in all black and that every part is replaceable. You can also buy tapered and straight thread covers to swap out depending on the tank you're using: http://www.myfreedomsmokes.com/evic...joyetech-evic-thread-connect-cover-front-cap/. It's been a real workhorse for me and has never broken despite being dropped. The MVP 2 is also great but if you prefer tube style, I stand by the Evic.
