Pete just finished run one and is now on to run two. I'm in on run three... a maple burl will be coming my way in about a month. Can't wait as the reviews have been excellent from some of the heavy hitters around ECF.

How expensive are they, if I may ask?

Aren't they just beautiful? They look more comfortable to hold than a Reo too. I also like the low voltage drop I hear it has and the 10amp fuse.

I was hoping that hubby could find some type of wire thing that has the right diameter to bend and use instead of the ones provided, if I find the size does not work properly. Am I dreaming? Or is this an easy switch to make. Told you all I am very untechnical and not real imaginative.

Any ideas on what material could be used. I have not seen a wire dress hanger in years so I do not think I will find one of those. I know I sound like I am making much ado about nothing, but I think the ability to wind the coil like winding a musical jewelry box is something I could do.

I did call a couple of other CVS stores for that perfect rolled cotton. There is one about 20 miles from me that has it in stock so a win there.

It would be easy to make a different diameter mandrel with a wire hanger (around 2mm?) or music wire or something.

I think the 1.5mm included will work perfect for most people. It's a standard sized micro coil. I just put that warning out because some people prefer bigger coils.

Maybe one day but man when I see these prices -- and they're always accompanied by a "sold out" notice -- I'm thankful for my evic and mvp. All they do is hold batteries right? I don't go to vapemeets, so anything I have is gonna look laughable to 99.9 percent of the people I interact with. Can't exactly impress them with gold-plated surgical steel.

I also have a Paps X (upgraded GPin) and Paps Lux. They're among the finest mechs I've ever used -- highly, highly recommended. The workmanship is stellar. For those of you considering them, stock opens up monthly and sells out quickly. It's a little effort to acquire one, but it's absolutely worth it.

So, is there a double secret, dark magic method of finding out when they stock?

See, I knew our manly men here would not be intimidated!

I found one on Amazon where I have free shipping and placed an order. Also grabbed a ton of wire and sterilized cotton. Thank you all! And crafts stores can be fun. I used to love visiting them for airbrush and model rocket supplies, for raw canvas, etc.

Go to the thread I invited you to earlier...it is announced there roughly a week before they are available. There is actually going to be a pre order for the next revision in about a week...exact time to be announced tomorrow.

Hi everybody. Thanks to the very kind generosity of y cherry y, I was the lucky recipient of many variously steeped samples of Ahlusion juices, and with this very unusual (and much appreciated) opportunity, I have been slowly and quietly enjoying them.
Here's what he sent me:

Strawberry Vanilla Cake
Blueberry Vanilla Cake
Peppermint Mocha
W&A Sasparilla
Maple House Blend
House Blend
Smooth Criminal
Gold Member
Shipwreck
Sahara Blend
JG Blend
Chocolate Hazelnut
Cranberry Autumn
Blue Fairy
Caramel Pear Black Tea
Berry Shangri-la Tea
Boba Tea
Michigan Cherry Tea
Passion Tea
Ginger Orange Oolong

I find that my first impression doesn't always remain true, for example, I was very excited to try Caramel Pear Black Tea, and at first I was turned off by a strange celery-like taste. It really bothered me, because the tea and caramel were both so great. I guess my brain was just interpreting the pear as celery. I was disappointed, and I left it alone for a week, and went on to spend time with some others.
I just tried it again today because I finished off the last of the Berry Shangri-La Tea last night, and I am growing very fond of Ahlusion's teas. So how come now I taste pear, and no celery? I don't understand it, and maybe I shouldn't question it, except I'm afraid it might go celery on me again... but it's so good right now, I'm going to finish off what I have right away.

Gold Member, I liked at first drip. But I don't like it anymore. It has an odd something. It's not like coffee to me, as one of the posters said earlier, but strangely... peas? Or green peanuts? Maybe I'm nuts! I don't understand why I'm getting that, except this one might not be for me after all.

I will give a little feedback on some others from time to time if I think I have something worthwhile to say, but I don't want to bore anybody. Mostly, I couldn't be happier to have found Ahlusion, and I'm definitely a permanent member of "the cult"!

You're not the first one to taste celery in that juice.

And it's not a cult, it's a scholarship program!

Nice list of juices from Cherry! Hope to hear more of your impressions, not boring at all.

Yeah, how we perceive flavor is often quite weird and befuddling. I too have had juices that tastes like one thing until suddenly it tasted like something else. It wasn't the juice that changed, it was my perception of the flavor. While CPBT never tasted like celery to me, I've heard that enough that I know it has notes that lead many to that (I'm thinking from the pear). One trick, pretend it does taste like you want it to. If our mind finds the link to make that click, it sometimes works.

Curious about steeping. From what I've read the Ahlusion juices need to steep. What is the easiest way? I've only tried a few, like them al but they do change, and I'm just a week into trying Smooth Criminal, very cinnamony flavor, House Blend, now becoming a little more flavorful but if I recall had a slight apple taste and now it has a hint of cinnamon. I'm liking this but is it going to change again. I also have Sahara blend which is becoming much dryer tasting and I'm not getting much sweet at all.

As far as steeping, I leave the caps off, I don't have time nor the inclination to (force steep) as I've read some do a lot of different things. I guess my question is are the flavors going to change from week to week or every few days?

Thanks, You have great insight, and great smarts. That might be exactly the trick I did, without realizing it. And it worked, at least on the CPBT.
Notice none of those were aros? I'm too much of a sissy to try them yet. But I will try them one of these days. And I will also build coils! Those are on my list of things I will do in the near future.

As I understand it, the tobacco comes to the forefront with steeping SC by degrees, for 2 months or longer. This may be true for all the non-aro blends. Aromatics need no steeping. I think steeping with the caps off for more than a few minutes isn't recommended, just store and shake occasionally. And taste your e-juices regularly. If I think a juice needs steeping, I try it every week on the same day and that works for me. When I like it, I vape it. You could also transfer some out of the glass bottles and into plastic bottles, and date them if you want to get precise.

I've learned that there will always be someone with something more flashy than me; it's a never-ending race, with all the advancements and new mods made in this industry. Plus, there's a limit to what I'm willing to spend on this. So I don't get caught up in that stuff. I just ask them, what are you vaping in that Vapeatron 3000?

I prefer the Legal Vape 4000! It's ultraportable and puts out more vapor than any other mod on the market.

I've taken to my Kayfun clone and am ready to invest a little more in it (now that I've decided it's worthwhile). Thanks you all for the help you've provided. Should I grab the coil jig that Idaholandho mentioned -- and if so where is it for sale? Or this number from Sharir's sig? Artistic Wire's Coiling Gizmo Deluxe Econo Winder - Lima Beads Also, I've seen mention of sterilized cotten at CVS. Can anyone provide a link showing what I'm after. Also, big big thanks to New Kid for having sent me the coil and starter bundle of cotton.

As far as cotton goes I just use the organic cotton balls from Walgreens. Just look in the cotton ball section and grab the one that says "organic." It's like $3 for 100 cotton balls and I can get 16 wicks for my Kayfun from one cotton ball.

I believe the coil wrapping jig you are talking about is made by "Darkzero" here on the ECF. Personally I just use a 1/16" drill bit that I bought for my Dremel. The drill bit set was something like $8 for a set of 7 bits.

I'll obviously be ordering more juices, so far I've ordered small due to not liking many. The 3 Ahlusion juices though I've really liked more than anything else so I suppose I need to order in larger quantities and taste them here and there. Earlier in the week I loved the Smooth Criminal but tonight it's all House Blend, at work today it was Sahara but I needed different tonight.

You're right though, if it tastes good at the time then vape it... After getting the Ahlusion juices last week I haven't had an actual cigarette since Friday night and have no urge to buy any. Think I need to have that variety in tobacco juices on hand though, I was half tempted to buy a pack of smokes today, until I got home and tried something different.
