Ahlusion E-juice

Stay safe Nurse :) I'm always interested in what rigs and juice you use on a long drive like this? I'm in the middle of trying to figure out what might be better in my car since I recently migrated to drippers and the KF gang. I have AHL Lime Cream and Peppermint Bark in T2s and they are great sitting on top of 650s. No complaints but always looking for ideas from the "tribe" :)

Ok, in my new apartment in the California east Bay Area and damn are there a lot of vape shops out here! In the course of driving 2500ish miles in four days all I used were my Kayfun's. From just above sea level in Ohio to the mile high city of Denver/northern Nevada mountains back down to sea level and not a single bit of leaking/flooding/gurgling. Of course driving makes the elevation changes much more gradual than something like flying.

I was using a KFL+, KFL+ v2 and a Russian 91% on my Provari (in 18650 mode since I list my 490 cap in my accident) and my Electric Angel mech with an 18650. Since I was driving for days I tried to have 3 different moods of juices in my tanks. Something for the morning like a coffee, something fruity for the day and something sweet should the mood hit me. I normally only vape around 3-4ml's per day, maybe 6ml's when driving like this, with 3 tanks I didn't have to refill much. However I did find myself in a bit of a juice funk somewhat like SharonMM several weeks back. I just got bored with what I had.

I managed to find a nice vape shop just outside St. Louis as it was just down the street from the hotel I stayed in. I really wanted to visit one of the you-know-what shops in Denver but I was good and kept driving. I swung by one of the ElectroNicStix stores in Salt Lake City (one of only 2 companies selling the ZNA) to pick up a gunmetal 18490 tube for my ZNA (whenever it gets mailed to me from home) and a couple juices. I'm enjoying G2 Vapors "Vazilla" from their Prime line, it's a vanilla butterscotch. Although the G2 "Purple Nurple" is a good grape candy it's hard to vape much at a time.

I swung by a local vape shop yesterday and it was nice to see them actually talk me out of buying something. I've never been much of a dripper but I figured "when in Rome..." and wanted something along the lines of a Cali style nuclear cloud blowing RDA with variable air flow. Just to play around with. One of the guys at the store told me to hold off because they didn't have anything to satisfy that desire. They even let me try their testers of the new Five Pawns line even though they don't have any to sell yet. I haven't used a clearo in a while and ended up spilling one of the 5P samples  The salesman even recommended some vape shops he frequents in SF, San Jose and Hayward.

I bought a few bottles of juice, one that tastes like a Girl Scouts Samoa cookie, Provari flush fit ring & 18490 cap and some other odds and ends. It was really cool to actually see some mods that I've only seen online being sold in a shop. Chi You, UVO's, King mods and Pinoy stuff I've never heard of. They even had the quartz glass upgrades for the Kayfun. At the local store they were either vaping drippers or Kayfuns.

I will say though that at each vape shop I stopped by I played Ahlusion "you gotta try these guys" ambassador. Have to give some love to Ahlusion wherever I go and spread the good word:p

Oh that's funny, because I'm looking for a sweeter, creamier coffee, and Amanda(?) at Ahlusion told me Cafe Au Lait would fit the bill. Sorry for the confusing info, BecknCO.

Of course my tastebuds could just still be shot from years of smoking and allergies.... I'd go with the Ahlusion recommendation if I were you.

Marietta is a nice town. Lots of southern charm. Atlanta can be fun, if you can do it without either rain or humidity.
I moved to Dallas GA from So CAl so you can imagine the culture shock.

***** REVIEW - Melon Masquerade *****

I haven't seen much if any reviews on the new ejuice that Ahlusion came out with, Melon Masquerade and I figured I would buy a sample and try it out.

Ejuice - Melon Masquerade XPRESS ( it seems to be only available in the Xpress line )
Steep - 20 mins from the time I picked it up from mail box LOL
Mod - Provari Mini
Tank - Ibtanked 19mm
Carto - Ikenvape Platinum Punch 2 hole SR ( I have an old batch of Platinums, not the new ones with issues )
Volts - 4.5

Smell - as soon as I took off the cap, the smell was very pleasant. Right of the bat it reminded me of my childhood days when I used to buy bubble yum gum ( watermelon ) that is exactly what it smells like. Some may confuse it with a jolly rancher smell but to me it was the watermelon bubble yum chewing gum.

Now I am confused, why is a melon vape going to smell like a watermelon. Well, I went back to the description and read that it was a " sweet " melon favor. That sweetness kickes in and causes that delicious watermelon - bubble gum - smell.

I then primed my carto, filled my tank, waited 15 mins, and took my first vape. Well, it tastes exactly like a melon. The watermelon bubble gum smell is not the same as the taste. In fact it is a very nice smooth melon taste. If you ate a melon it would taste exactly like it. If any of you have tried HYPE from AVE, this is not the same, this is a real deal melon with no artificial flavorings. Ok back to the smooth part, yes it's smooth, but does have a throat hit. There is a tingle you will feel at the tongue like you would should you vape an orange fruit flavor if you will.

Fast forward a few days, yes the taste of pure melon is still there but on occasion on the exhale I taste the watermelon bubble gum smell. I suspect with other delivery devices the watermelon " sweet " taste that they advertise will show up more.

All day vape: Maybe

Will I buy it again: yes, it is a great vape specially if you are going through vapors tongue.

Smell and taste: different and continue to be different. Smell from the bottle still watermelon bubble gum, taste is still pure melon with an occasional sweetness.

As far as I know you can get this from the Express line or in store which is Express as well. However I have requested it as a sample and had it tailored to my specific VG/PG taste. I suspect you could also submit a ticket to order it just like others order lemon vanilla cake or root beer float flavors.

This Vecchio, can I get a couple of descriptive words of wisdom about it from a few that have tried it? I am intrigued.

Take the Vanilla Wild Wood, leave the Vecchio.

mmmm forgot how great shipwreck is...

:thumbs: I know! I put a new head on my Shipwreck tank last night, and was like "whoa that's EXCELLENT!" (and why did I let my coil get so gunky in the first place?:laugh:)

:lol::lol::lol:

I took inventory last night of my juice drawers and realized that I won't need to order any more Ahlusion for at least 3 months. :?: Kind of sad, really. :D

OK- What am I missing here? I got a bottle of Goldmember and it's just awful. Like, chemical cleaner awful. Yuck!

They also included a bottle of Stardust but I haven't tried it yet.

How long have you let it steep? I let mine steep about 4 weeks (30%vg), then it was delicious salted caramel candy.

I haven't had Stardust, but it appears to be primarily a blueberry vape. You should let that one steep, too, at least a couple of weeks.

BTW, what VG/PG ratio did you get?

I didn't let it steep at all. Just popped it in. I've never had to steep anything before, it's always been good FOB. lol. So you are saying, let this bad boy sit in the back of my fridge for a month and give it another shot?

I don't put much weight in the Spinfuel reviews as they seem a bit biased. I think there are better reviews out there.

Biased.. nah. They just write extremely positive reviews on vendors who are paid advertisers. Not biased at all. Wait, what does biased mean again

I haven't been interested in anything Spinfuel has to say since I got a bunch of MBV based on their glowing reviews, and I hated every last bottle of it!

That doesn't sound right. Goldmember can take a while to steep but it shouldn't taste like that. I wonder if it's something in the base, etc. that hits your tastebuds just the wrong way. Black Peach Tea from Ahlusion tastes like chemicals to me but to others like a nice peachy black tea. Hopefully with steeping it will come around for you but if it doesn't it does not mean all their juices are bad, I'm proof of that and have only found that one flavor that hits me the same way.

Not in your fridge, just in a dark spot. Most mixed-to-order juices benefit from aging, how long depends on the person. Some people use things like ultra-sonic cleaners to speed up the process.

By no means am I well-versed in all things Vecchio Blend. It was one of the first juices I ordered from Ahlusion.

It's a vanilla.......tobacco, I suppose. More accurately, a slightly tobaccoed vanilla bean, in my opinion. I would place it in the house blend section. The tobacco was low impact, too low for my tastes, though many say it hits them right. I have to disagree a little with the ashy or dirty taste described -- I never got that. Just an almost straight vanilla.

If you love vanilla, but are hesitant towards tobacco vapes, this would be a good starter juice. The tobacco emerged after a long steep, for me it was about 2 months.

Oh wow, now I am really intrigued. Gonna have to be in my next order.
Thanks B&J

I'll let it set a bit then and try, if not there is always PIF!

I have all my juices in a lock box in the fridge. My BM store told me that the fridge keeps them longer? Is this wrong?

Doesn't hurt the juice, and may indeed keep them longer. It'll also greatly slow down the steeping, which could be a negative.

It depends on how long you want to keep a juice. Most stay fine well over a year, so I wouldn't put it in the fridge unless I wanted it to last several years.
