We NET heads are also quite fond of Sweet Virginia.

Great write-up, glad you like it so much! It's easy to tell pretty quick that SV is a special juice.

Sorry for going back 3 days but, but I'm wanting to order juice again and so....

Do I just ask for a sample of Sweet Virginia or ???
And I guess it IS LIKE and analog and not a cigar or pipe tobacco in any form? Not sure I want cigarette vape and Ahlusion doesn't classify their non-aeros that way, unless it is mentioned in the descriptions.

Yes, yes I'm still learning which varietals are which. or maybe not lol. I like cavendish, not turkish so much, still not sure about latakia or perique and I'm thinking burley tends to be more pipe-ish, but I haven't sorted all this out yet.

The above translates to: I like sweet-ish flavorful not dry-ish, grassy, dusty

Is this breakdown somewhere on the ECF where it's simply stated? I like things simple, for simple minds, that have to keep going back to be reminded.
'cause I forget, routinely:) and often.

Sweet Virginia is not like a cigarette. It's just pure sweet Virginia tobacco. The low, broad sweetness in Sahara Blend and Gold Rising -- that's Sweet Virginia. It's delicious.

LOL. Your posts are hysterical, TV!
I'm still trying to figure all this out myself, and you will get conflicting info, but I found this page, from good old Wikipedia, pretty helpful.

But I also found that when it comes to e-liquid, all of that may be useless. For instance, in the actual leaf-tobacco world, "aromatic" tends to suggest flavored or fruity (think aroma) blends, vs. raw dry leaf. Not always, but often. With e-liquids, at least Ahlusion, "aromatic" tends to mean robust, strong, bitter, and dark, and sometimes, ashy.

It's also not enough to say cigarettes are made from leaf A or B, while pipe tobacco is made from X, Y or Z. The lines are blurred. BUT -- MOST American cigarettes are made from some blend of Virginia Brightleaf tobacco, and sometimes a Turkish or oriental thrown in (think Camel).

In general, in my (admittedly limited) experience, e-liquid that is extracted from or mimics a cigarette tends to be grassy, earthy and sometimes dry (though it could be very sweet), while pipe and cigar liquids lean more toward flavored, dark, strong, harsh. Then you have your fire-cureds, which can be found in both cigarette and pipe tobacco, but is usually associated more with pipe.

Take all of that with a pinch of salt, because someone is about to come along and say exactly the opposite, and I won't be able to say they're wrong!

For some of us, NO amount of alcohol is negligible, even though it may be more of a psychological issue. It's the message we're sending ourselves by avoiding any amount whenever possible.

Understood and respected. :)

I recently learned about this issue the hard way or should I say "tough love" I was testing one of my coconut mixes which among other things contained Rum extract. All I said before they vapped is it grows on a palm tree. It was steeped about one month and although for me the rum added a nice little subtle "kick" I could not taste or detect this tone. / lol First draw from one of my vape shop geeks and he gaged and screamed rum! No thanks he muttered!

One of my fav vapes is the King's Bananas Foster which of course contains a Rum/alcohol extract. I love the stuff. It gets even smoother with age and is such a delicate and skillfull mix. For me, it would be "flat" and lack the authentic quality IF you could convince the King to mix it without the alcohol which IMHO is doubtful.

:)

They already have a Banana Cream Pie that is pretty much to die for! :)

Speaking of wishlists, I'm thinking a Blackberry Wild Wood might be very, very good -- but I haven't even tried Ahlusion's blackberry yet (i.e., their Blackberry Mimosa).

Anyone here have any thoughts on the Blackberry Mimosa? :)

Hey, Eleanor. I do. Are you sure you want to hear mine?????

Not thrilled. Neither FOOB nor various intervals over two months or so. I got a ........... Kool-aid sort of feel from it. I was hoping for a rich, jammy blackberry with a champagne tang. I didn't get that. This is the same sort of reaction I had to Stardust, although I did have "breeze" added to that one, which may have had an effect.

I, too, would sell my soul for a great blackberry tobacco (you know what I still miss!), but the blackberry would have to be a jammier, deeper version to hold up to tobacco, I think.

Sorry I pitched it or I would send it to you....

NET.com's Blackberry Burley is good, but is definitely strong, a la Ahlusion's aromatics.

Thank you! That could work and I'll give it a try. Strong is good at times, and I do like a couple of the aromatics on occasion.

My dream would be "Berry Criminal".....

Oh man..Berry Criminal would rock. I want the berries in melon-berry frost without the melon or frost too.

Thank you! I was afraid it might not be what I want -- like you, I too want a jammy-fresh berry blackberry. :( (Yeah, I miss "it" too!)

Oh well.

P.S. Don't sell your soul -- for anything! 8-o :D

If you've ever dripped and like the flavor from dripping, it's basically bottom fed dripping. In any tank set up, your juice in the tank heats up and cooks while you vape it.

With bottom feeding, it's juice on demand. When you "squonk" the bottle, you deliver juice to the atomizer and the excess drains back into the bottle, and doesn't get "cooked". You're only heating what you need at that time.

Regarding the kick, I know you can kick the Grand, but I haven't done it, so don't know much about it, but if you go to the REO forum and start a thread asking, you'll get lots of replies to answer your question. :)

the concept seems intriguing. not sure if i am gonna spend that much money in the next few weeks, since i have spent way too much on juice and mechanical mods this month, but it may well be my next big purchase, especially if i can find a way to sell all the gear i don't use.

are there other mods that work along the same principle, or all reos mods the only ones ?

No alcohol. Ahlusion doesn't recommend leaving the caps off at all. Just a quick cap off, back on, and shake. After dripping you'll know if any need steeped. I know Tiramisu takes a long steep to bring out the flavor. Cherry Midnight is better after 2 weeks. Raspberry Cream depends on what you think. Some love it fresh, others after 2-4 weeks. I prefer it after a long steep. It turns into a true raspberry after about 4 weeks.

Mocha and Coco-Berry Cream get vaped immediately!
The raspberry cream did not smell of cream ! the cocoberry cream did however. have'nt tried them yet.

Actually, they DO have alcohol- it's right there on the label, and Wlad has confirmed it for me, however, I routinely ignore his recommendation to not leave the caps off, and leave them off for 24-48 hours in a closed drawer to let the alcohol evaporate.

thanks, i didn't really smell alcohol on any of them except tiramisu, but i left the caps off overnight anyway.

I'm both curious and a little annoyed about some of those vague juice descriptions, such as "A crisp fruit blend..." "Another crisp fruit blend..." I kind of want to laugh, but why can't there be a straight, clear flavor description for each juice? I tend to avoid juices that are mysterious. I suppose I could ask about each one, but then there is a wait and wait, to hear a response back. Would it be so hard to just list the flavors, please? Even just the main ones, if the rest is a secret?
Yes, I'm venting on one of my pet peeves.

Right there with you.
I think I'd probably buy a lot more though if they did describe them in a useful way.

I have to say something about last Sunday at Vaporcraft in Clawson with y cherry y, Dustmight, and Mr. Mann.

What a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon! And it was really great to meet people that you've only known from ECF. I wish very much that I could meet a lot more of you, particularly from here in the Ahlusion thread. I've found that most vapers are unusually good people, who are very intelligent, fun, generous and enthusiastic.

Vaporcraft is a nice little shop. I tried a lot of things (in fact, I tried almost everything) they had to sample. Sometimes more than twice. It was the first time I got an opportunity to try Five Pawns, for example. They had all the basic flavors to drip test, and I wound up taking the whole thing on a board to our table and just digging in for a couple of hours. I made sure to leave a little in each one, though.
There were other things to try too, like Namberjuice, The Standard, Halo and Space Jam. I wasn't very impressed much with the ones I tried of those, though. And I was a little disappointed not to be able to try one that I had really wanted to try, "Amelia" by Jameson's. I am a real strawberry fan and had heard that it's a very, very good one. They had a bottle for sale but no sample. That was the one sad point in the trip for me. Maybe I should have just bought it, but I didn't for some reason. I didn't even ask how much it was. In fact, I didn't get a single souvenir from that trip, and of all that should have been the one. What a dummy I am sometimes.

The owners, Barbara and Len, were very welcoming and accommodating to us sitting around there for 5 hours talking and laughing, vaping mostly Ahlusion juices and fogging up the front windows! At one point Barbara came over and joined the conversation, and Len played his guitar in the corner. I had wonderful day, and hope that we can do it again sometime!

I could well be wrong but my conclusion is that if a flavor is very clearly discernible as individual note that the flavor is mentioned. Otherwise it is not as it probably would give people the wrong impression that they would be able to taste the listed flavor note(s).

If you find a distinct flavor note in a juice that isn't described you might want to ask Ahlusion to include it in the description.

The Puuzlebox, the OliveR Dibi, and the Sun Box are a few. I on the wait list for an OliveR Dibi, but it's about $100 more than a REO.

REO set the standard though.

I wonder if your Vapor Craft is the same as mine in Columbus, GA. I know they have at least 4 locations.

I had trouble with Orange Nocturne. It had an boozy taste and a slight bitterness to me. I kept it for a few months and it just never truly matured into something I could enjoy. I finally gave it to a friend. I have over 20 flavors from Ahlusion and although there are a couple that are not for my tastes, they are all quality liquids. That was the only one that I could not enjoy in any way.

Did you get it sweetened? I find that all the chocolates benefit from sweetener. I got a bottle of Cherry Midnight without sweetener and it was bitter. Added sweetener on the next order and it was terrific.

Sorry for going back 3 days but, but I'm wanting to order juice again and so....

Do I just ask for a sample of Sweet Virginia or ???

Express flavors aren't available as free samples. New flavors aren't either for a while. Just wanted to make sure you didn't request it for your free sample!

Yes, I'm venting on one of my pet peeves.

I think part of it is keeping the recipe secret. The other is that a lot of the flavors are hard to describe! Like Pink Label and Rune. If they said it was a certain flavor people are going to be upset when that isn't what they taste. They are so magically mixed that you can't tell what the flavors are...all I know is that they are delicious. I'll try any flavor that says it is a fruit mix! Sweet Surrender is my favorite.
