Which of their blends are the least perfumey? I'm especially interested in tobaccos but will pretty much take anything at this point. :\

I'm am very sensitive to perfumey notes, also to very strong and/or sweet juices. I like clean, clear, barely there flavors that can be vaped all day. I even like unflavored (gasp). So I sympathize... :)

I like Smooth Criminal, plain Boba is OK (inoffensive, not great). I didn't care for the honeydew Boba--I added a little mint to make it more to my liking. I like Kona Kick with a touch of chocolate and cream--a touch, mind you. But my biggest surprise was House Blend--very smooth, gentle, pure tasting tobacco. Real sleeper.

Yep, my first aro experience, Blue Grass Burley, was like that. First vape was powerfully ashy and smoky, and the smell reminded me of ashtray. Even though, I was still very intrigued and fascinated by the juice. Now, none of the aros seem ashy to me. The juice didn't change, but my experience with it did. Sometimes the juice needs to steep, and sometimes my brain needs to steep.

Same for me. It got great in a week without changing at all. My expectations changed!

Curious about Pineapple Cream, anyone have any experience with that one. I worry about menthol. So far, I haven't liked anything with menthol in it.

It's nice. Similar to Lime Cream (the only other citrus "cream" I've tried), but more subdued. Like Lime, it needed a few days to settle, but was quite good after a week's steep. My Pineapple Creams is 2 weeks steeped now, and it's smooth and slightly creamy, with a fairly authentic pineapple taste. Not overly sweet.

So don't put menthol in it! A lot of people love that juice. For me, the Pineapple USD Cake was better. After a couple weeks, it was just like a heavy cake drenched in pineapple with cherries on top. For me, good once in a while. But serious dessert vapers would probably really love it.

I wonder if Smooth Criminal is their best seller. I don't recall anyone not liking it... eventually

I've not tried any non-aromatics from any vendor that I could stomach vaping including Smooth Criminal. Despite all the ones I tried being hugely popular they all had a very strong, cheap floral perfume taste to me.

After six months the perfume taste was definitely lighter but still not anything I could vape. I PIF'ed most of it to my sister and daughter. They did not detect the floral notes so I've totally written the experience off as my tastebuds being extreme outliers for something common in the non-aromatic flavors I tried.

Wlad asked for clarification on my SC feedback despite the fact that I made it perfectly clear that my problem with the juice was most certainly due to my tastebuds marching to the beat of their own insane drummer rather than it being anything I expected him to fix.

I got my XPress Smooth Criminal in the mail today :)

So, I bring you the super, pseudo-scientific, startling, Smooth Criminal steeping test :p

The contenders:

- 30mL bottle of 12mg steeped 6 weeks
- 60mL bottle of 12mg steeped 4 weeks
- 30mL bottle of 18mg steeped 2 weeks (reportedly in XPress)

The testbed:

IGO-L dripper with a 1.1Ω micro coil with fresh cotton wick, rinsed and blotted between tests.

The result:
I honestly cannot tell them apart. It could be that my tastebuds can't discern them with back to back vapes. I dunno, they seem the same

I can tell you that they all taste different in my IGO-L than the 6 week steeped does in my AC9 genesis with a similar micro coil / cotton wick build. In the IGO-L there's a very subtle floral? / fruity? (not the right words) taste approaching JG Blend - dark roast. Why I don't get that in my AC9 I have no clue.

Edit: Possible explanation for the difference in the IGO-L. I had JG Blend in it prior. I did remove the wick and toss it, dry burned the coil 6 or so times, and installed a brand new cotton wick. It may be that something from JG Blend remained on the coils. If that's true, the whole test may be tainted.

I am working on my Pineapple Cream sampler and do like it. I still haven't decided if I would order a larger bottle or just keep a 10ml on hand for when I want it. That has more to do with how I feel about Pineapple than the juice:laugh:

I have been vaping for three years in October and I can say my tastes have changed so much over time it isn't even funny. There are vendors that I credit for getting me off the stinkys..but couldn't vape their juice any more if I tried. I also find that every few months I just need something different to get my tastebuds back on track. I have never been an ADV kind of gal..need variety and lots of it. I have reached a point where I stick with two vendors and just try a new juice now and then to keep things interesting.

I go for 8 weeks. LOL

Wow.. you have been vaping a pretty long time. I have only been vaping for 4 months, but I have to agree with you about tastes changing. I now prefer much subtler flavors. There are juices that I LOVED in the first month that I simply cannot vape any longer. Those are just too overpowering, sweet, severe aftertaste, etc. I think Wlad recognizes this, which may be part of his rather blunt disclaimer about new vapers looking for a nic fix need not apply (paraphrasing). I actually found that a bit offensive when I first read it, but I kind of understand it now.

Anything subtle is wiped out by the hot fury of genesis atomizers. They just reduce the flavor to its strongest element, and completely wreck anything delicate. I hate 'em.

Disclaimer: Taste is subjective, to each his own, chacun a son gout, one man's meat is another man's poison, et al, ad infinitum. I do, however, refuse to say that it's "just my opinion." Everything I say is Revealed Truth. (Testing my new ECF signature. Think it'll be popular?)

Edit: Didn't pay attention to the micro coil/cotton wick statement. Never mind.

Can you request plastic squeeze bottles instead of glass ones?

I asked a couple months ago, and I think it hurt Wlad's feelings. The bottles are beautiful, but I usually put the juice right into plastic bottles to promote steeping, so it's a waste to give them to me. Except the aromatics, which I DON'T want to steep. Those stay in their nice brown bottles.

Too funny. You may as well have asked for him to not check his tobaccos for TSNAs. Wlad, can you include some carcinogens in my Smooth Criminal, please?
