I didn't think Sweet Georgia Peach was tasting too ashy over the weekend.. but I also didn't think my brandy tasted too boozy at the time either. Today it's back to being ashy though.
Which of their blends are the least perfumey? I'm especially interested in tobaccos but will pretty much take anything at this point. :\
Yep, my first aro experience, Blue Grass Burley, was like that. First vape was powerfully ashy and smoky, and the smell reminded me of ashtray. Even though, I was still very intrigued and fascinated by the juice. Now, none of the aros seem ashy to me. The juice didn't change, but my experience with it did. Sometimes the juice needs to steep, and sometimes my brain needs to steep.

Curious about Pineapple Cream, anyone have any experience with that one. I worry about menthol. So far, I haven't liked anything with menthol in it.

I wonder if Smooth Criminal is their best seller. I don't recall anyone not liking it... eventually
I'm laughing because the OP has peaced out on the thread he/she started.![]()

I got my XPress Smooth Criminal in the mail today
So, I bring you the super, pseudo-scientific, startling, Smooth Criminal steeping test
The contenders:
- 30mL bottle of 12mg steeped 6 weeks
- 60mL bottle of 12mg steeped 4 weeks
- 30mL bottle of 18mg steeped 2 weeks (reportedly in XPress)
The testbed:
IGO-L dripper with a 1.1Ω micro coil with fresh cotton wick, rinsed and blotted between tests.
The result:
I honestly cannot tell them apart. It could be that my tastebuds can't discern them with back to back vapes. I dunno, they seem the same
I can tell you that they all taste different in my IGO-L than the 6 week steeped does in my AC9 genesis with a similar micro coil / cotton wick build. In the IGO-L there's a very subtle floral? / fruity? (not the right words) taste approaching JG Blend - dark roast. Why I don't get that in my AC9 I have no clue.
Edit: Possible explanation for the difference in the IGO-L. I had JG Blend in it prior. I did remove the wick and toss it, dry burned the coil 6 or so times, and installed a brand new cotton wick. It may be that something from JG Blend remained on the coils. If that's true, the whole test may be tainted.
I am working on my Pineapple Cream sampler and do like it. I still haven't decided if I would order a larger bottle or just keep a 10ml on hand for when I want it. That has more to do with how I feel about Pineapple than the juice
I have been vaping for three years in October and I can say my tastes have changed so much over time it isn't even funny. There are vendors that I credit for getting me off the stinkys..but couldn't vape their juice any more if I tried. I also find that every few months I just need something different to get my tastebuds back on track. I have never been an ADV kind of gal..need variety and lots of it. I have reached a point where I stick with two vendors and just try a new juice now and then to keep things interesting.
I go for 8 weeks. LOL

Can you request plastic squeeze bottles instead of glass ones?
I asked a couple months ago, and I think it hurt Wlad's feelings. The bottles are beautiful, but I usually put the juice right into plastic bottles to promote steeping, so it's a waste to give them to me. Except the aromatics, which I DON'T want to steep. Those stay in their nice brown bottles.
