35 and a girl gamer, too. :toast: You know, it's easier and harder to game and get a nic fix now. It's cool because I can take quick vapes in cut scenes (I play action and RPG games), but then again, back when I was smoking it was easy to just have the cig hanging on the lip. Maybe I should get one of those eRolls and relive the analog experience.

Me too, love my RPGs, some action games and my WOW but until I get a laptop, no WOW for me! :( I miss it, have an almost lvl 70 Druid just hanging out there, I miss it but I can't sit at the computer anymore! :(

I thought about an eRoll, have even checked them out but not sure yet. Never smoked in the house so there were very long pauses! LOL!
But I see what you mean with vaping, but for me, still better than going outside! :)

My mom is a smoker and obviously I was, so smoke was always around me and in my homes. But yeah, having to go outside to take a drag would definitely be a drag. :p I actually purchased an eRoll for my mother and thought it was kinda cool even though I'm into the mechanicals now. It is super light and it actually gives a great beginner's vape and serviceable or backup for a veteran.

Well here's to all of us on the downward slope to 40!

I'm game for sliding downward back to 40! haha I already gave away too much with my talk about the Saints.

oh, but I solo'd Everquest 2 to the cap with 1 death. Does that count? loll
but my fav of all time was Bioshock 1.

Not gaming lately. Who has time? too busy obsessing over vape juice and gear :p

I gotta ask you guys.. what's the appeal with the mech mods? I started on vv/vw and have found it to be invaluable. Some juices taste a little better higher, some a little lower.. always using 1.8 or 2.2 ohm coils. So I wonder if I would be happy not being able to tweak my vape to where I want it. I think Mozzer's chi is really, really purdy... but I wonder if I'd be disappointed with its functionality. Vain as I am, I can't see myself paying $200+ for a mod based on the pretty etchings and exclusivity... yet.

Perhaps it's not the dollar amount spent, but rather the amount of time you have been a customer?

Pretty sure it's the dollars. I started getting it about two months into my financial commitment to Ahlusion. I was all excited that there was a sale, and someone older and wiser clued me in -- Mann maybe, or Tez.

Edit: I mean older in vaping years. Each vaping year is about ten actual years.

I haven't messed with it yet but have the chi clone coming from fast tech any week now
but the Idea is going lower then 1.2 ohms

the only reason I'm trying it is I cant seem to get satisfaction from my Aga t2
and it has been suggested that they perform better at .8 - 1.2 ohms

but as far as my RDA's all have been great over 1.2

I had the same thoughts regarding mechs. I like variable voltage too, don't get me wrong. But I like the durability of mechs, knowing that it can get wet or dropped and be no worse for wear. And a lot of them just look cool to me. I don't see myself paying that much for mechs, either, ha ha. I have some cheap clones in my hand. I can only imagine that the more expensive mechs would perform even better than the cheapies I'm using. Also, you can bypass the low ohms floor that a lot of VV devices have. A double-edged sword, though, cuz you need to have the know-how and experience to not build shorted coils and also a coil that won't push your battery past its limit.

Mech mods were apparently made just for me, lol. I say that because even though I have VV devices, I rarely went above 4.2 volts, the highest a fresh battery has. Now, I just build coils that suit my taste -- usually in the 1.2 to 1.6 range. And the flavor with cotton *does the mind explosion .gif* :)

There are many reasons people get into mechs, I think. Ranging from "purists" who want "simplicity" (LOL) with no electronic parts; status seekers, although it's probably only amongst the forum members!; cloud chasers - those seeking the ultimate vape; obsessives ;) face it, most smokers / ex-smokers are obsessive at some level.

Anyway, you can have control of the power output with mechs, but not with the convenience of a VV/VW. You have to rebuild the atomizer to control resistance, vs. turning a switch. Mechs are also at the mercy of battery drainage. It's not really as simple as just considering the power output, however. For reasons I don't fully comprehend, power levels that would burn the hell out of juices on conventional setups work beautifully on the latest low ohm setups (current craze is micro coils). When I was using an eVic or Vamo, I'd very rarely go over 10 watts. Now, I'm using a theoretical 29 watts with a fresh battery.

In my experience, the vast majority (for me, all but 1, actually) of juices taste better, produce more satisfying vapor (if you're into that), with mechanicals and micro coils. Some really do respond better to lower power. It doesn't have to be excessively expensive. My first mech was a Sigelei #8w which works as well as the top-end ones in terms of conductivity. Just has a somewhat difficult button. It was $27. There are cheap rebuildable atomizers, as well.

But you do have to tinker. Some people are just not into that, and VV/VW are perfectly fine in that case

think I'm going to try my first this weekend:vapor:

You'll love it when it clicks. It took me like 2 built coils and I'm not a tinkerer. And they last as long as you want them too, I've had one on an A7 for like 4 weeks now. I'm going to change it just because I want to build another. I'm going to stick to 8 wraps of 30 gauge or 10 wraps of 28 gauge around a 1/16 drill bit.*

*I sound like I know my tools, huh? Not really, I read the micro coil thread and the small writing on the thing that goes into the screwdriver.

I suppose I'm a mix of all of the types I mentioned. I come from an architectural background, so I really love and appreciate great design and craftsmanship; yes, I'm chasing the cloud; and I have really enjoyed tinkering with them. All in all, far more satisfying than stinkies ever were ;)

Haha! yes, they are. have to agree. Apparently some credit goes to Super_X_Drifter ;)

Yep. He didn't invent them of course, the idea has been around since disposable atties; if you look into a Cisco spec 510 you'll find a pretty little micro coil of around a dozen wraps. But SuperX was the one who promoted the style for rebuildables and called his builds "micro coil" in a thread in the Reo section of ECF. For a while, a handful of spaced out, large diameter wraps ruled rebuildables. Now, micros have caught on BIG time because they perform so much betters, it's starting to look like they may be the new standard. SuperX is also a big reason rolled cotton is being used in favor of silica so often now.

I made a thread yesterday to bring together micro coil tutorial videos made by people here at ECF. Mainly for a place to point people who want to see how they're done. It has a few videos now (including one by SuperX) and a few more will be added in the next couple days. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=472178

I just recieved a bottle of Lime Cream @ 30vg/70pg and it is outstanding, was wondering if it would be even better @ 50/50 mix

You'll lose some of the lime and have a creamier taste. I've tried most of my favorites at different ratios and find 30vg/70pg gives me the best flavor. I tried Black Pomegranate Tea at 50/50 and lost the pomegranate!

In my experience the flavors are quite different between the 30VG/70PG and the 50/50, including the fruits. To my taste the flavors with 30VG/70VG are considerably brighter and more intense than the 50/50. I don't think that most people would notice the difference in the sweetness but some might. Also, any of the 50/50 fruit bakery flavors seem to need quite a bit longer to steep for the bakery flavor to come forward than the 30VG/70PG.

I've had the same experience. It also works the other way around. If a flavor is a bit too much for you go for the 50/50. It will smooth it out. I love Cantal Berry Ice at 50/50. At 30/70 it is too sharp for me.

Thanks so much! I did try Cafe Mocha, not for me..too sweet. I am going to try Belgian Cocoa from Halo cuz I hear it is a deep chocolate.

Do most Ahlusions have to be steeped THAT long???? A month??? Damn, I have patience of a 2 yr old..that's a long time. But ironically, on the website Cafe Au Lait is the one that sounded good to me. The name worries me cuz I tried the same name from Vermont Vapors and it clogged up my coil/tank. UGH.

And although I'm set on Tobaccos, Smooth Criminal peaked my attention....and the posts after you, someone mentioned CocoBerry...if that's like a dark cocoa w/blackberries or something close...YUM..

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on Five Pawns sample pack. Even though Gambit is what I believe people consider sweet, it wasn't overly sweet for me. Love the complexity of it and all the layers of flavors. That's the types I'm searching for so I can have multiple vendors/flavors.

I vape most of my flavors after 2 days. Some straight from the mailbox. It's trial and error to find out what is right for you. You said you don't like Cherry so maybe try Orange Nocturne. It is really good! Cherry Midnight has my favorite chocolate. You might find that you like it. Ahlusion Cherry is completely different than any other. I use Cafe Au Lait and it doesn't clog up a carto.

Oh yeah.. also, most of the Ahl juices I've had already seem profiled to me. Usually my reaction is.. well this is about perfect. My changing wants and desires will probably just muck it up.

My feedback usually consists of "this is perfect". Feedback also helps to keep your flavor around! Wlad keeps track of what is said about flavors so the more you like it the more you need to say so.

Even before an Atari I had a ....ty Odyssey home Pong system. It literally played Pong and nothing else. What about Colecovision, Intellivision, Vectrex, Commodore Vic 20 and 64?

I loved my Pong game! That thing was so awesome.

35 and a girl gamer, too. You know, it's easier and harder to game and get a nic fix now. I'm 53 and a girl gamer. Although I only play computer games. Mostly RPG's. I also have my 75 year old Mom playing Wow and Diablo 3. Diablo 1 was her absolute favorite. Every time I buy a game I have to buy a copy for me, my husband, and mom. Been thinking about going back to Wow after a year away. I miss my pink haired gnome Mage. I made the mistake of sending mom a wedding dress. She spent a weekend walking around Stormwind crying and everyone who asked she would tell them she was jilted at the altar.

Sorry for getting so far behind! I didn't mean to write a novel
