Trying out some Desperado tonight. The question I had for this one was, "Is this liquid going to be Smooth Criminal's hot sister or ugly cousin" And the answer is, not only is it her sister, but I think they must be twins! It has the exact same je ne cest quois that makes Smooth Criminal so very precious to me.. but the thing is, is there enough difference to warrant owning both? I don't know. Granted this is a fresh bottle, so steeping might bring forth some change.. but as of now I'm thinking this is criminal. Criminal in a cowboy hat, but still Criminal, which is GREAT of course, but not the new thrill I was hoping for. Anybody have some thoughts on this?

It will be interesting to see how they seem to you in a week or two. For me, there has been a departure between them, particularly on the finish. There's something in Desperado that I find to be more like a "traditional" tobacco. It's heading toward a Halo Turkish Tobacco, or something. It's far better than that to me. I'm just trying to put my finger on it myself. SC, meanwhile, remains smooth. What comes forward in SC is a tiny bit of bite on a deep inhale, from the tobacco coming out after a long steep, while still smooth on the finish.

Intersting. I'll be receiving both this week to compare.

I visited their brick and mortar for the first time on Friday. I tried a bunch of flavors, but do you guys have any recommendations on 'must tries'? And also, rubbing it in again because it never gets old I AM A MILE AWAY!!! *puffs on her tiramisu and strawberry vanilla cake* hehe

Is your name Linden, or are you FROM Linden? (Linden is close, but more than a mile.)

Wow, this thread moves fast. I've been working on my Mango Lassi since I got home from work. I think I love it very much. I think my 10ml isn't going to have much chance to steep.

As for the equipment discussion going on, I use a Spinner and a mini T3, and I'm very, very happy with them. I tried a lot of stuff early in my vaping experience, but I was thinking about it recently, and I've been using this set-up for close to a year. I can't imagine a better combination of convenience, consistency, and flavor. My husband has been on a Provari and Protank for about the same amount of time, and that works perfectly for him. I know that we both could, theoretically, get better vapes with something else, but if it works, why fix it?

I have only been vaping for a little over 3 months but I am loving my spinners and winders. I am using a Joye 510 atty almost exclusively. I will use an Evod for away from home. I find the dripping into that atty is a very personal, tactile experience; almost like the ritual of smoking for me. It adds a level of pleasure to my vaping. I am waiting on delivery of an MVP2 to see if the vw capability and larger battery will make any difference in quality of vape for me. I have not tried any of my Ahlusion liquids in any manor other than dripping.

Sharon,

Like SC, Desperado must be steeped for quite a while. I've found it to require more steep time than SC; others feel inversely. I've found eight weeks to be best for this one. While SC continues to change over time, Desperado hits the point of "ripeness", then doesn't continue to morph. For me, Desperado has a little more tobacco "bark" than SC. I love them both, and if you test test side-by-side after a number of weeks, you'll be able to pick out their differences. Is it worth buying both? For me... No. SC scratches the itch I need scratched!

I find that all tanks except my AMP Tank mute flavors. Also, I would think that NETs might tend to clog up the polyfill on a carto.

I stand second to no one in how much I despise the process of manual dripping. However, I found the flavor that dripping delivers is so superior to any other juice delivery method that I manually dripped all my Ahlusion juices before I found more convenient devices to feed my dripping atties. Tanks just hid way too much of Wlad's flavoring sorcery.

Unfortunately, solutions for a more convenient method for dripping other than manual feeding tend to be expensive. However, recently Vision introduced the Aurora BFT (bottom feeding tank).

I've had four Auroras for several weeks now that I've been using for my second tier flavors. I fully concur with Todd's positive review which is on the Vapor Beast product page to which I linked above.

They were so easy to use that I gifted my sister and daughter with Auroras, neither of whom have any patience nor gear fiddling skill. They like them as much as I do and have had no problems getting them to work properly.

This is a picture of one of my Auroras on one of my iTaste VV 3.0s. It's pretty nice to have what amounts to a relatively small, lightweight bottom feeder with VW.

It sounds like the juice isn't wicking properly and delivering dry hits—very nasty tasting. VG is always quite thick but some vendors dilute it. I can't remember if Gorilla Juice was diluted and can't check because I PIF'd mine quite some time ago.

Peraspera,

I hope you don't mind, I recommended this top to another member, based on your posting this picture. I have 2 of these on order - they look like they will be much better than the t3's and pro tanks I use.

I like all of the fruit creams, including Strawberry, OOB. They will start to change noticeable after about a week, some might say two weeks.

Been a while since I've been back here, so the forum won't let me edit my previous post now.

To correct a couple of flavor names: Car-Mal-Mambo and Van Mango were the flavors that I didn't recall correctly. Also, I've ordered all the custom Ahlusion flavors in 50/50. I don't recall what blend the Express line is.

Went back to Car-Mal-Mambo a couple of days ago and it is pretty close to what I was hoping for, but I need to try it in a different clearo or with a different coil. Just not getting the amount of vapor that I want from it.

Van Mango still isn't doing it for me. It's got some weird taste to it that may need to steep longer than the 2 months that I've already been letting it sit there, but I don't taste any mango in there at all.

Finally tried the Strawberry Midnight a couple of days ago in my mini T3S and I was impressed. Tried it again last night and this morning and it was just 'eh'. Don't know what's going on there. LOL!

Still have a few Express flavors to try yet: Contrary Cherry, Chocolate Cream, Jump N Jive, Sweet Chill, and Melon-Berry Frost (think I ordered that one, but the Ahlusion site looks revamped and my account history is all gone).

I didn't order any with added sweetener. In the future, I will probably add it, however the Winter Wild Wood is sweet enough... A pleasant surprise. :D

Bukket, I've tried most of my Ahlusion flavors in cartos and carto tanks and they work fine at 70/30 PG/VG ratio. I'm sensitive to VG and can't vape anything higher than 40% VG without discomfort. But again, I suspect that Aros and other complex NETs will suffer if put through the filler in a carto.

Yes, that's the ratio I use. I just posted it the Ahlusion way (30VG/70PG). We asked Wlad why he does his juice VG/PG and he explained that it is the American way. Since I only shop at Ahlusion I've gotten used to it and think of them in that order now. All the flavors except Aros work great.

VG bothers me, too. I end up congested. Was just coughing but now it's hit my sinus'. I did it to myself. I know I shouldn't vape more than 30VG. For a time I had to vape 10VG/90PG to get it cleared up. Time to break out the EVODs and do it again.

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy...order came in today and I get to try Raspberry Cream - will leave an impression post when I try it.

My first impression is don't get this flavor with added sweetener unless you want a very sweet vape. It's sweet without it (I got it without). Raspberry is strong and at the front. I can detect a fluffy, whipped cream second note that is really nice - you can feel it like a velvety coat on your tongue. The finish is creamy and comforting. This is a great juice!

Mine arrived today, too. It's sweetened and it is awesome! Raspberry is really up front. In a week or 2 I'm sure it will be even better.

Question a little ^^^^^

Since my juices are still steeping and new ones not here to share w/my best friend, she went ahead an ordered a few samples from another vendor. She was getting a little cough and stuffy nose from a previous juice that was 60 PG/40 VG so she ordered this time 100% VG. She uses 6 mg on an 1000 mAh EVod/EVod tanks. The tank/coil were cleaned.

She said her first hit "burnt the back of her throat"??? I have never tried the juice she has, but it has high reviews. I've vaped nearly 100% VG (Aves) no problems so she's asking me and I have no clue. Blind leading the blind here!

I feel bad because I told her to lower her PG from the first issues, I never thought she lower it all the way. I did tell her to try a few drops of distilled water, but it doesn't explain what's going on. Thx for any info

It sounds like the wicks weren't given enough time to soak up the juice. High VG takes longer to soak in.

But she might end up with more problems. VG is usually the cause of congestion! When I first started having problems I made the same mistake and went higher on the VG thinking the PG was the problem. I ended up with a sinus infection. That's when I switched to 90PG to clear it up. I was sticking with 30VG but then I got stupid and got on a kick of citrus flavors at 50/50. I'm paying for it now.

I'm wondering if mine is sweetened because it seems like it is. It's good though and, yeah, I'm going to sit on mine for a few weeks also and see what happens.

UGH..I feel bad cuz I told her it was probably the PG..

I also had a reply somewhere on here for her to soak the wicks more and then try a few drops of distilled water. Don't know much about Evods but she seems to have quite a few issues w/them and she uses the tank that comes with them.

I also told her to quit buying stuff and wait for my Alh to mature that she will love them and we both can quit looking and start ordering large bottles and split them!!!!
