I was going to ask where you went to purchase your egos bbywho. I live in Southern Maryland and there are like two shops...........about an hour and half away. I stick to online shopping. I find brick and mortars serve as an emergency option because their prices will almost always be higher, which I understand.

As for box versus tube mods; I prefer box mods and I think I have small hands. :) Tube mods are cool also, but the boxes are what I love. I think the MVP 2.0 is a great option, though I found nothing wrong with the ego twists I used also. The vamo is a bit cumbersome for my hands in my opinion.

I think the Vamo is a bit unwieldy myself. I hardly use mine. I do like my Evics. My next is going to be an itaste. Not sure which one though....

Also, I would strongly encourage you to look into rebuildable dripping atties (RDAs). They are much, much easier to build than the tank-type rebuildables such as the gennies. Some flavors such as tobaccos, coffees, strong citrus and anise hold up well to the coil builds needed to produce big clouds that it sounds like you might prefer.

Start with building micro coils with oHms high enough to use within the safe confines of a protected PV. You could start practicing your building skills on your Aurora heads.

Great advice, peraspera. I would like to add that my experience is a little different regarding the ease of building RDAs vs. gennies, or other RBAs. I build them all exactly the same, so they are all the same difficulty. I use cotton micros, which are definitely easier than building SS wicks with conventional (bigger diameter, non-touching) coils. With cotton micros, there's no pulsing to get rid of hot spots, no shorts, etc. They work perfectly for me every time with no fuss. One thing that can distinguish the difficulty between RBAs, such as gennies, kayfuns, etc. and RDAs, is the method used, and space available, for trapping the leads. Another thing that can be more difficult is feeding a cotton wick into a gennie. These are relatively minor differences, so all-in-all, I find them the same difficulty level to build.

Thanks! Love the feedback. Like I said, I'm extremely new to this and don't want to completely deplete my bank account buying devices I'll outgrow right away. The vape shop I went to is in Virginia burbs. Apparently, vaping hasn't caught on in my area of NoVa. I've yet to see anyone vaping (other than in the vape shop) and I get all sorts of odd looks and lots of questions when I pull out my eGo in public.

The iTaste seems like a good choice so far. All my eGo threaded cartos and clearos will work with it. Still scared of RDAs, not to mention RBAs! I don't want to blow myself up:laugh:

Just wanted to know how the boba flavors are. I tried using the search feature but it led to this thread and there are thousands of pages to go through. Also, I'm on my phone and it's not quite the best thing to use search with. Anyways, I'm planning on ordering boba and boba tea honeydew and would like a little input before I finalize the order. I am a boba fiend so I wanna see what's good. Thanks!

I live down the road from one of the largest Vietnamese shopping plazas on the East Coast. Yummy boba tea everywhere--nom, nom, nom. I got the Boba Tea 12mg 70PG/30VG as a sample with my first Ahlusion order mid-September. It was delicious the day it arrived and was getting better by the day. Never got to see how good it could be, as I pretty much killed the 10ml bottle within a week. Just got a 30ml 6mg 50/50 last week. Not quite as yummy when new but still very nice--this one is steeping away in a closet right now, with small daily tastings of course... I'll probably go back to my original 70PG/30VG on my next order. Have to keep the nic at 6mg, since I chain vape the Boba tea!

Yes, that is the taste I got when I tried Blue and White Beard -- with about 40 percent less fermentation than Gold Rising, lol.

Sounds about right, lol.

B, now YOU might actually like Gold Rising. When I say funky, think like white beard, burley beard. The funk in GR is fermented honey. It's not something everyone will appreciate.

LOL here I go again... about that Gold Rising.. thing.. I just loaded it up in my Odysseus*, replacing the CLR *sniffle*, and it's interesting. It's approaching the aros (maybe one reason you don't find it appealing?), but milder. Yes, fermented honey is fairly spot-on as a description, but it kinda works for me. I actually do like it at this stage. I need another day or so of vaping it to be conclusive, but I think I will enjoy it when I'm not in the mood for the intensity of the Burleys, but still want some bold tobacco.

* The Odysseus is the exception to "they're all about the same difficulty" from my previous post. It's a right pain in the ...., actually! I just had to partially re-build it cos a piece of the ceramic broke off while I was changing flavors. I'm amazed I was able to reuse the coil, but it was still a nuisance to get it all going again. Not sure how long this atty will remain in my regular rotation. It's quite nice in between builds, but I may always dread rebuilding it.

It's censored me before. I just see ... in my posts. I'm thinking they just don't trust me to be nice

Ya think! LOL :) /joke Seriously Boys and Girls, the profanity filter is global (all users and all posts) in nature and controlled in the vB admin that runs this joint.

Please don't take it personally. LOL
