Big controversy on the forum today about Cuttwood Unicorn Milk. UM is the new "it" juice that allegedly tastes just like strawberry quick and is also opaque pink in color.

So last night, some whistleblower jumps on ecf screaming DON'T vape UNICORN MILK ITS DANGEROUS IT CONTAINS TITANIUM DIOXIDE!! So then a big flame war insues and yada yada.

Suprise twist, one of the vendors who sells Cuttwood posts a message that he spoke with the maker, and yes indeed UM contains a food coloring which has titanium dioxide in it.Which if you didn't already know, that's a suspected carcinogen. Kindof a big deal.

Here's where it gets really interesting though. The two guys blowing the whistle get deleted and banned from the forum for being unregistered suppliers. One of them said right out that he was a supplier but the other said nothing of the sort. Neither one of them were pushing any product either, only relaying information.

Now today, Cuttwood announces that they're releasing a new version of unicorn milk that is clear, because people were complaining about their coils getting gunked. Total BS if you ask me. In the meantime, it doesn't appear that much is being done for the people that bought the TD laced version. Seems like ECF is trying to sweep it under the rug, and the Cuttwood isn't replying to any inquiries on the subject either.

Anyone a former menthol smoker? I'm looking for a good menthol tobacco type, not just menthol (I have those). I saw they offer this one --> Cool River Tree Blend but one of the descriptions mentions hazelnut? So, has anyone here tried this cool river?

Umm, don't know where that reviewer got that from. There's no hazelnut flavor in Cool River Tree Blend. It's very good, one of my favorite River Tree Blends. It does take between 2 and 4 weeks for the tobacco to become prominent.

I never heard of it before today. So, I second Vagabondnurse's sentiment. Especially because if I had heard about a juice that tasted like Strawberry Quik I would be vaping that stuff up like hotcakes. And I'm embarrased to say that. I don't drink the evil stuff, not since I was like 12, but I'd sure be curious about the vape. And if I had, I'd now be scraping the inside of my lungs with a wire brush.

Wait.. someone thought it would be a good idea to make and sell a juice that's.. milky?!

I have no respect for vendors that add anything to a juice that isn't meant to effect flavor or performance. Adding untested ingredients as a visual gimmick to a product that is inhaled is just... man, it's hard to express my opinions on this without the use of expletitives so I'll stop there.

Love the Avitar. I had to show you mine. Mother and Son. Howard is now big enough to stand there while Mom does all the work :)
My two best friends ever.
FiPLeA9.jpg

Gorgeous! I'd have 2 but don't have enough room! LOL. Plus Itsy does enough damage running around the house on her own. Although she is pretty smart and knows not to go near any electrical cords. She once ran through the room and caught my laptop cord and flung my laptop across the room! She was so horrified that she's never gone near any cord again. If any of her toys land near a cord she sets there and cries. She is the biggest cry baby I've ever seen. Love her to bits....her full name is Hutchins' Itsy Bitsy Spider. My husband wanted to breed our first Rott until it dawned on him that I'd keep all of the puppies. Love the name Howard :)

I'm starting to think Ahlusion's teas are its strong point. Buy em all and let em sit. Going through the entire line with a four month steep right now and there's not a bad one in the bunch. Although I keep accidentally turning my Evic off taking these ten-second drags.

I agree. I live on the tea and cream flavors. I do like the teas fresh now. It seems like the first time I try a flavor I prefer it steeped but then I end up liking it from the start.

The evic aggravates me with that! It's not one of my favorite mods.

What are your thoughts on the Black Peach Tea? This is the only Ahlusion juice I've hated and would like to see another person's take on it.

I love it. I'm not into peach flavored vapes but it goes really well with the black tea. I get all the teas in 70PG/30VG. 50/50 or higher really changes the flavor and smooths it out so some may prefer it that way. Did you try it again after a long steep?

I tried a vendor that everyone was talking about and the juices have food coloring! I just can't bring myself to vape it. Why in the world add coloring? It serves no purpose and it is made to eat not vape.

Yea! Thank you for this. I was trying to figure out why there would be hazelnut in menthol tab but it was a definite turn off. Now, I'm gonna get me some :)

Oh bugger :( Wait, maybe I can get an xpress bottle and help it along. For some reason, after 3 months of happy vaping, the past 2 days I've had moments of *seriously* wanting a smoke. It came out of nowhere! So I'm puffing away on my Halo Mystic, which is what I quit smokes using. But still, would like a MT to have around for these times.

Thanks again!

Jerms, I couldn't agree with you more brother. I also loved SharonMM's recap - fine piece of journalism there. I need to hire you to write the abstract for my thesis ;)

I also love all the rottie pics as of late! That is an adorable avatar, Bukket. I always smile every time I see it. I miss my buddy's three rotties very much - Zeus, Athena, and their pup, Turbo B!tch - what fine dogs they were! (*also nice to balance out all the cat pics from time to time)

There is a three-month hurdle to get over. The cravings can show up right at this point for some reason. It was like this for me too. Hang in there, it will pass! I hope you can get some express MT in the meantime!

There was picture of the juice in the first post on the thread that showed that the juice was opaque! That alone should have raised concerns. Once people vaped it the juice apparently produced white, powdery gunk on the coils. That should have covered the whole field with red flags.

It's somewhat distressing that one or more of our more experienced members didn't catch that anything was amiss before a vendor blew the whistle. I'm now feeling a little guilty that I rarely check out threads about new juices.

Well apparently it was a good idea- the stuff was sold out everywhere and people chomping at the bit to get it. I have to believe the opaque pink color had a lot to do with it... I mean, strawberry quick isn't THAT big of a deal.... or is it? ;)

Too bad the maker didn't take the time to investigate whether the stuff was safe to inhale. These are exactly the kinds of things that are going to ruin this industry. I'm sure if someone came out with a chemical bomb that makes purple vapor and tasted just like lollipops, that would probably sell too.

Why? I have become VERY picky about vendors. I have a few that I buy from, mostly Ahlusion, which I trust. To many out there and I value quality control. So I don't really bother with the new, hot, vendor du jour. So many people will say.... "

"OH OH, you have GOT to try [insert wacky undescriptive e-juice name here] juice that blow tons of clouds and tastes just like [insert real item name here]."

And not to to forget " The amazing part is it only cost [insert ridiculously low price here]!"

I've fallen for that, and now I know better. I'll stick with recommendations from people I trust can give reliable recommendations.

That just baffles me that so many people base their juice purchases on what a juice looks like. I totally believe that Pluid, which I do think is a solid flavored juice, only became the monster seller and hyped juice it was because it was green. I personally love the color of Blue Fairy from Ahl... crystal clear, because they didn't add colorings!

My favorite juice color is totally clear, means it'll probably have awesome performance. I also enjoy the natural colors of juice, for pale yellow to light amber, dark amber and browns, orangish or reddish tint.

Some things naturally repel me as not safe to vape, milky opaque appearance is high up there. Just.. so stupid to release a juice like that. This marks them as a vendor to never, every try for me.
