Ahlusion E-juice

I agree that steeping is needed with the creams to balance the acidic notes. However, Wlad has told me and others that caps of Ahlusion juices should only be taken off only very briefly before steeping.

Good Ahlusion information. I was unaware that only a brief cap off period was recommended. I tend to steep not only my Ahlusion juices but all my juices with the cap off for the first 12-24 hours.

I had a theory back around my first month or two of vaping that it seemed like some companies designed their juices around the type of juice delivery system it is intended to be vaped on. I have read many comments regarding Ahlusion's juices and how the flavors shine through dripping and RBA delivery devices.

Because of the myriad choices in juice delivery systems available, I think it is quite appropriate to discuss the various juice delivery devices hand in hand with the discussion of Ahlusion's juices and flavors. The flavors may come across differently depending on what equipment is being used.

I think it is unreasonable and just quite silly to have to just discuss Ahlusion juices and not be able to discuss how to get the best out of the product and experience. Especially for new vapers and those new to Ahlusion juices. We provide a valuable service to ECF and the vaping community by sharing our experiences.

Long live Ahlusion and this thread!!! And I love my Caramel Pear Black Tea and Smooth Criminal dripped on my 510 atty and Igo-L.

If Ahlusion is your gold standard for ejuices then maybe you would like to vape it with the new ZenKote Gold Provari
ProVari Gold Electronic Cigarettes: Gold Electric Cigarette, Gold E-Cigarette
I watched the Zen video where it takes him a CNC lathe and a grinding wheel to even make a dent in the coating he uses. I think my Ahlusion juices would look pretty good sitting on top of this. Decisions, decisions...

I don't think we should start a social group and give ECF any excuses whatsoever to shut down this thread that is in a sensible location. What percentage of people are going to be able to figure out that they should go to the social groups to find advice and help for Ahlusion juices?

We stay on topic other than the odd foray into hardware. Also, keeping up with this thread can be a challenge and I doubt too many people would have the time to keep up with two Ahlusion threads.

I think the hardware discussions are particularly helpful for people who might be still be using newbie gear that is muting the layers and complexity of Ahlusion juices. Getting gear advice from a group of people who are self-selected flavor chasers rather than cloud chasers seems very useful and on-topic to me.

The truth of the matter is that some people are adept at search and will use it and some people won't due to a lack of skill or sometimes laziness. There is so much stress that can be involved in transitioning to vaping and the health stakes are so high that I personally don't mind answering the same question for the 999th time.

I agree that steeping is needed with the creams to balance the acidic notes. However, Wlad has told me and others that caps of Ahlusion juices should only be taken off only very briefly before steeping.

I agree with Peraspera about this thread. And everything else -- just about always.

Hello all! Another order in last night and I am all giddy as my Vurley's are heading home! Also made a left turn for some Mango Lassi!
I sent another round of Ahl to friends in Greece(GP mod) and Perseas and Miro wanted me to post this. They are loving it!

So umm whats the verdict on off topic discussion? imo, I am sure R1, OS, Joker and Classy do not care what is discussed as long as it is not inappropriate. Other than the occasional hello here, I am on a particular builder thread as well as a couple others and we talk about everything from computers, autos, call to actions, family, cats, health, batteries, ohms, attys, and on and on and on. It has turned into a nice family of different personalities and lifestyles with no holds barred and helping one another - important in the ECF family.
I also feel it keeps a thread from becoming stale, so to speak. Perseas doesn't care what we talk about and he gets in on the conversations every day. We talk about a ton of mods whether they are suppliers or not. Ultimately it is our choice whom to support and yes we should be supporting our ECF vendors and supporters but the forum would be 1/3 of what it is if that was all. Pedro isnt a supplier but look how many Caravela discussions along with other high end mods.
We also post random photos of life, joke and laugh all day about random topics, Classy stops in says hello frequently and gives me the stink eye :) and it is also fantastic thread to learn about vaping.
I'm not sure if I could sit on a thread and talk about juice at a consistent pace while tangled in the webz on my free time.

I hope everyone has had or has a fantastic day!

Do you think I should add sweetener to their liquids?
I'm thinking about those liquids, but not sure if I'll get everything on my first order
Coconut Dream, Orient Whisper, Papaya Lassi, Coco-Berry Cream and Lemon Cream (all at 12mg nic, 50/50 ratio, and right now no sweeten).

Thanks! :)

I say no. They sweeten everything up nicely as is without choosing to add more. Only choose that option if you've had that juice before and want it sweeter or if you normally like your juices very sweet.

My personal take on whether to sweeten or not is to try the liquid as the maker intended - no modifications beyond the vg/pg (Ahlusion lists the vg first in the ratios so you need to pay attention to that when ordering) ratio and nic level I desire. I will use the pg/vg ratio that the vendor recommends for a specific juice on the first order. I have not found that I need to alter the sweetness of any of my flavors as of yet. But some people do, although it seems to be flavor specific and user specific.

Sounds good, thanks guys,
Did any of you disappointed by and recommend not to get any of those flavors?
Coconut Dream, Orient Whisper, Papaya Lassi, Coco-Berry Cream or Lemon Cream.
The first 3 are my choice, the other 2 is actually by recommendations in this thread :)

Those all seem to have been highly recommended on this thread. I've only had the Orient Whisper and Lemon Cream from that list, both were awesome, and the rest I want to try still.

Ahlusion is kind of a company you can browse the flavors and pick out what sounds good to you, and they are probably as good as anything else they offer.

Ahlusion juices aren't sour or bitter without sweetener nor syrupy with sweetener. I agree with the other suggestions to stick with non-sweetened when first trying a juice.

If you are not planning on dripping use the contact form on their site to let Ahlusion know what gear you are using before you order so they can set up your profile. They will tweak juices to match gear as much as practical. That can make a big difference if you are using clearos or cartos.

From Ahlusion's site -> FAQ -> General -> E-Liquid Recommendations
While our e-liquids can be modified to work with just about any device setup, it helps to let us know beforehand about some of your preferences and hardware. Preferences include what kind of flavors you like, the strength of your flavors, and just about anything you would like to tell us in regards to those flavors. The more we know the better. For hardware preferences let us know what you primarily vape with such as your device, type of atomizer, cartomizer, tank etc, and the preferred resistance. In our humble opinion, our e-liquids taste better on at least a true 3.7v device* or better coupled with a low resistance atomizer (1.5 - 1.8ohm), but again this does not mean that you have to vape with those specific settings. After all, it's all about your preferences and this information simply helps us to fine-tune our e-liquids to your preferences. Based on your preferences we may sometimes recommend another vendor; our flavors are definitely not for everyone.

Yes, I was disappointed with all except the last in your list.

I'M JOKING, BY THE WAY. I haven't had Coconut Dream, but I'm sure it's just as tasty as the others.

Too many posts to multi-quote!!!

Between retired1, who raised the point and notified us all of the changes and the ECF position, and SharonMM, who also raised a point and succinctly relayed the forum thread user position, I'm in agreement that this thread is not in jeopardy.

Ok, so we state that it is winter in Michigan or USPS delivery sucks. It ALL affects the receipt of our juices! So there! :D

On to the juice wars...

I've been in the mood for a good fruit cream. I tried strawberry cream and it really wasent my thing. I am leaning towards lemon cream or raspberry cream. Thoughts?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thoughts? On Lemon Cream? and Raspberry Cream? Let's just say I like them both but I only voted for one on the NETty Awards.

and it was LEMON CREAM!

CREAM WARS, GAME ON!

My thoughts: Get Lemon Cream and don't look back.

Yep! :toast:

Based on what you read here, it's all about Lime Cream, lol. :p

I think I'll use this as a sig:

Vote Lemon Cream!

VAPE ^^

Wrong answer!! This is the correct answer:

Although I love Lime Cream like a fat vaper loves Stripper Cake, Lemon Cream is in another stratosphere where love is too meager a word describe our relationship. :p

Gaaah! another mental image. This is just kinky.8-o

My bad, thanks for policing me.

(Ahlusion is yum)

I have been policed and I have been harassed :D ... you Jerms, were harassed :p

I don't have tapatalk. I don't have a smartphone, so... no comment.

For me, cap off for 30 min max. Then vape and the Lime was way to strong, filled with mucho tartness. The cream base was MIA. /lol About 4 hours in my UC which is about a month steep and it was divine. Lime tone had smoothed and well balanced with the cream base. That's not to say that after trying it fresh you may love it or it may "turn" for you after one or two weeks. My guess is it needs some time to tone down if that helps you.

Enjoy

:)

Thank you. I will put it away to steep for a few weeks before trying it. I have the pineapple cream, and right now it's all pineapple, so it's going in the steep drawer too. The lemon cream was good FOOTB. I'll just keep enjoying it while the others steep.

I've not had the Coconut Dream so no comment there. Orient Whisper I liked a lot. It took me a while to get into it as it tastes like nothing I've had before but as one of our thread members once stated " it's a white glove vape." Papaya Lassi I'm up in the air about. It was the juice I was vaping when I had my rollover auto accident in January so I think my brain has put negative connotations on that juice through no fault of the juice. Coco-Berry Cream I love.

Lemon cream kicks puppies, abuses kittens, trips old ladies walking across the street and steals candy from babies. It's a bad seed, grew up in the wrong side if the tracks and has multiple felony convictions. Avoid it at any cost.

J/K, we're having "cream wars" here lately, just seeing if I can get a rise out of the LCC (lemon cream camp). It's actually a pretty good juice.

As far as sweeteners go the only juices from Ahlusion I order sweetened are the chocolates because I think it brings out the chocolate flavor and stuff I would normally sweeten in real life (coffee and tea). But trying them first as they come is good advice.

What a day! Got my AHL order, a few bottles of the new just released 5P juices, a glass tank for my KFL+ V2, and some cheap stuff from FT. /LOL

First impression of my just arrived Fijian Nights (50/50 @6MG). Cap off for somewhere between 15 minutes and "30 minutes MAX" so everyone is happy. /lol Next into my dripper. For me: I'm getting the Pineapple and coconut tones, neither of which is overpowering since the vanilla I taste is not only semi sweet but holds them together and smooth's this mix. Authentic all the way. No spices yet for me but certainly quite smooth and enjoyable. I'm going to give it about 4 hours in my UC and I would expect it to "mature" and settle.

HTH
