That is the whole point of VW set it and forget it.

But I never mess with my volts. If I use EM attys, Joye LRs or CS LRs (which is essentially all I use) I keep the ProVari at 3.7v. The attys never loose their rating -- I set it and forget about it. The only time I change it, which takes a couple seconds, is if I feel like vaping SR, and if I vape SRs, I will only vape those. This week I am vaping SR and haven't changed the volts (essentially the wattage) once.

I like the Darwin, but that dern button I like less than the looks.

Okay, maybe I should say that I am happily vaping Blue Grass Burley at a consitent wattage right now on my Provari. Just a tie between subjects and the thread topic. ;)

Yeah, another reason I like VW is that with rebuildables, it's tough to be consistent with the ohm ratings of the coils you're wrapping, but VW will nail it every time. Plus, I'm a fan of mechanical mods from an engineering, trouble-shooting, and maintenance standpoint, and the Kick really takes these devices to another level.

I wish I knew! Damn that Zen and whatever the holdup is this week...

I'm right there with you. Every time I make a coil, I'm like "Eli Whitney doesn't have anything on me! Alexander Graham who?!"

My new toy. The column shift was a little before my time so it's taking some getting used to. I'm pretty mechanically challenged but I figure that this will be easier to learn repairs since there are no computers running the car.

Actually, you are way ahead of me! :)

I have the mechanical savvy and inclination of a goldfish. :(

But that car is GORGEOUS! :hubba: Congrats!

Bingo for me! That is the conclusion I came to also. I got off cheap with the Ego's and twists, and never dealt in the 'tween. From what I gather reading so many posts, I think I've saved a bundle. Once I knew my likes and dislikes and decided I was going to spend some real money on equipment, I decided that my top criteria was quality and beauty. I've ordered a couple Caravela's, and I'm going to throw a kick in them.

Lets me change up between any atty I want to use, and any RBA coil on the single RBA I'll run with todays daily vape no matter the coil I've built, with ease. I like cool vapes, and always end up around 6-6.5 watts once I calc the numbers on the VV twist, so easy peasy, dial in 6.25 watts on the kicks, pop them in once and forget em. Screw on whatever I've got or built. I like the idea of no outside controls, lights, etc. and everything being handled invisibly, and internally.

I can certainly appreciate the attributes of all of the various other mods out there, but this was the solution that I think will work best for my style of vaping.

Can't argue with that! To be able (this is key!) to make your coils HOWEVER you feel like and know what you're going to get, well that's awesome.

Little known fact, goldfish are known for their highly developed problem solving abilities.

Another little piece of trivia...if you start an absurd statement with "little known fact", 43% of the population won't question what you've said. (It also helps to throw in completely made up percentages)

I can't set it and forget it. I have juices that taste better hot, and juices that taste better cool, and juices in between. VW doesn't change that.

I don't like juices that taste better cold or cool. It's all hot for me. I do get your point though.

A+: I am vaping SC right now and this juice (no news here) is so dadgum good! Hey Mo, this is a 12 mg SC and to be honest, I barely recognize the difference between this and most other 18 mg juices. A+ uses A+ nicotine! Is there a difference between this and the 24 mg SC? Yes, but but as much as you'd think. I am not left wanting.

That is why I say the equipment makes the difference. Using different delivery systems to match the temp

I do have to say I am using a moded ViVi Nova and man it is much nicer than before. Even doing something I said I normally don't recommend for a ViVi Nova tank. I have it full of Carmel at 5 volts!

That's way too much trouble for me just so I can say I'm using VW. I'm not going to use a bunch of different jds and try to keep up with which juice goes with which one just so I never have to adjust anything. You can do that with a fixed volt device, or with a VV for that matter. It only takes me a few seconds to adjust.

Oh believe me, there was much hand wringing over the Provari as well. Amazing device. The ohm & volt conversion to watts is very easy and there is nothing like a giant fan base of devotees to let you know it is a solid score.

Problem became once I saw some of those pics of the Caravela topped with AC9 RBA, the aesthetic screamed must do, and the kick replied with a big can do. I have no doubt that something in the near future will cause new lust too, but it's a solution that I think will work long enough to justify the expense. The other equation that worked was I think the limited availability will pretty much guarantee that should I ever conclude my nicotine addiction, the hardware investment can likely be recovered almost entirely.

In my mind, the value of the Provari is the amazing features. I'm less convinced that should a flood of Chinese knock offs of the Provari come along at much cheaper prices, that folks won't be won't be willing to trade it's fabulous build quality for price, depressing the value of the originals and causing the manufacturer to lower the retail prices to compete. The scourge of production goods.

Mo, has anyone told you recently how awesome you are? For a freakin' juice vendor thread, there sure is some thoughtful writing here. I love you all!

p.s. Hey everyone, tomorrow is the day when I find out if a boy or girl will be coming into my life!

Well, only part of my need to lower nic is the weaning process. Truth be told, the deliciousness of Ahlusion juice is causing me to vape more than I did before, and lower nic is necessary to prevent INCREASED intake. I think once I start using a strong hard hitting mod and an RBA, that daily intake of volume is only going to get worse.

And it will be for most people, I don't mind having a certain piece of equipment for certain juice types. Three devices keep me in the temp range I want for those juices using my mechanical mods.

I will have a Provari here this week, so that might change some :D

Most people only seem to have a few favorite juices they use. I have a very wide range of flavors and want each for a different reason. It really is not a huge deal to have a certain piece of equipment for flavor types for me. I completely understand how you feel though.

Mr. Mann, that contrast between the trivial and the awesome is starkly beautiful. I am 100% sure that whatever the outcome of that test, it is going to take mere nanoseconds to realize it was your preference all along.

Congrats. You can probably start stocking up supplies a little better once you know. Let the baby shopping officially begin :)

p.s. Hey everyone, tomorrow is the day when I find out if a boy or girl will be coming into my life!

And just thinking of the day my son was born and now, on Thursday, he will be moving to Florida on a new endeavor - I can only say to cherish every moment with your little one - I can't begin to tell you how fast it goes. I started very young - had both children by the time I was 18, and now my daughter is 30, married and has given me a beautiful grandson. My son has taken the slow road but still good non-the-less (served in the U.S. Marines) back in 2000, and now moving away - for good reasons but it's breaking my heart to have him far from me - my family and extended family are VERY close, and for one of the crew to be moving away is a big deal!

So again, I implore you to make the best of every minute when you child-to-be - you will blink and he/she will be grown!
