All over the place
Well, I just went to browse around and found the "wish list" that I thought was what I had ordered.

I now realize that it was Car-Mal Mambo that I somehow lost (I know it was me) in the actual order. I am bummed. I really wanted to try that. I sure hope they are open on Monday.

Sometimes my stupidity annoys even myself.

What is you nic preference? 'Tis the season. :)

I am at 3.7 with LR 1.8 ohms ohms - I can't believe that the two new batteries I bought are also a problem. I used to get a day out of them. The only thing I can think of is that when I recharge the batteries, I leave them in the charger plugged into the wall, when their not being used. Maybe I'm ruining the batteries by leaving them in there.

Where did you buy your batteries from and which ones are they? I imagine you got them from ProVape, but I am just checking. What kind of charger?

Do you totally drain your batteries before recharging them? With Lithium batteries you should try to not let them go below 40-50% capacity... If you drain them totally a couple times, they will lose a great deal of longevity. Leaving them on the charger is fine, if it is a trickle type charger... Basically it stops at full power, then when they bleed down to 90-95% power it tops them off, and this cycle repeats over and over. But for extended storage you should keep them about half charged... No need to explain that, since long term is more than a few days, which I doubt is an issue.

So in summary... Leaving on charger for a few days should be fine (the cheaper one at Provape just turns off, the expensive one is 4 stage and will trickle)... Draining them till they are dead is not a good idea.

P.S. It is possible to "boost" an overdrained battery, but that requires an expensive charger... So don't throw them out necessarily.

Oh what a happy day!! So....I'm sharing because even through all of their challenges and beyond busy few weeks, Wlad & Alley continue to amaze me & go far above and beyond with their attention to detail and customer service. I received my order today...and at the time that I placed the order, Fijian Nights was not available. So I ordered some other juices (re-order of Boba Tea w Honeydew, Grapevine, Peppermint Mocha, and Bananas Foster). Anyway...a few days after I placed the order, I dropped them a line and just said that IF Fijian Nights became available, I'd love to add a 30ml bottle of it to the order. I didn't hear back, but was fine with that, as I just assumed it still wasn't available, and I'd try to grab it next order.

So.....here we are today....my order arrives, and isn't there a 30ml bottle of my beloved, and so perfectly profiled Fijian Nights included? Of course there is. What an AMAZING little surprise....and just blows me away that they were able to go above & beyond for me like that, especially during these crazy busy times.

I am smiling ear to ear! A++++++++++ is all I have to say!

I finally found this although it isn't the same I had read but pretty much the same info. I don't know if you ever checked your batteries to see if they are actually drained or just the flashing.

My LED is flashing rapidly like its out of power but my battery is fully charged. What should I do?

There are a couple of things that can cause this to happen.

1. If any of the contacts are dirty and the battery is not able to supply enough power because of a weak connection it can cause the light to flash rapidly. Its best to clean the tops of your batteries often and once a week clean the contact down inside the ProVari. You can clean the small metal contact inside that the battery positive touches with a long Q-Tip and some isopropyl. Rub the pin for a good 20-30 seconds to make sure you get any dirt and grime off and you can also use the isopropyl on the battery tops and bottoms to get them nice and clean.

2. Make sure you are using the correct battery. The AW high drain red battery is the one we recommend because it has a high output capacity and a low internal resistance. All protected batteries like the trustfire cells and other brands have a protection circuit that limits the output of the battery which can cause issues. If you are already using the AW batteries, try cleaning all the contact points and see if that helps. Make sure you are not using old batteries. Rechargeable batteries should be replaced every three months as they wear out.

Thanks so much Skydragon, I will certainly give this a shot. I don't know how to check if the battery is fully drained. When it light starts flashing off and on, I just take the battery out and charge it until the light on the battery charger is green. And I am using AW high drain batteries (in fact I originally got my first two batteries from the ProVari site).

The first ones I bought were from ProVape - they are AW IMR 18350 3.7V 700 mAh. I don't remember where I got my second set of batteries, but they are the exact same ones - I just got them at another website, cheaper. I bought the charger from the ProVape website. It's this one:

If you usually get 6 hours out of battery, take it out after 3-4 and switch with the fresh one... Or something like that, you get the idea. Does the Provari have an indicator for battery charge level, like a cell phone?

P.S. You should do the same thing with cell phones too... Charge them when they drop to 40% or so... Don't drain them dry. And that whole battery elastic thing of draining them to stretch the performance is for the old NiCd batts that most people use for AA stuff, not Lithium ones.

So then it is possible that I ruined the batteries because I always wait until the light flashes to take them out and put them on the charger. And I think I have the cheaper battery charger that doesn't repeat the power cycle :(

That one just shuts off... So it does nothing if you leave them on the charger... It would only be an issue for long term storage.

If you know someone with an expensive charger (trickle type) they can be potentially resuscitated back to life... It is called "boosting".

I forgot all about the indicator for battery level on the Provari - I just put a fully charged battery in and it is indicating that it is "low". So something isn't right.

I've left the batteries on the charger for over a week for sure - when this first started happening I stopped using the Provari just out of laziness because I didn't feel like figuring out the problem. That's when I bought new batteries and from the get go was having the same problem. I'm wondering if it could be the Provari itself?

What is the best voltage to switch out a battery on the Provari? ie at what level, according to the Provari, should I be swapping out and recharging?

What is the lowest a Provari will show before it shuts itself off? 3.2 volts? If so, then pull it when it gets to 3.5 or 3.6 volts... That would be safe, but there are a lot of variables to be any more exact about it.

Weird... If they were new batteries, then it is either the charger... Or I don't know

I honestly can't imagine it is the mod that is the problem though :)

Note: This is where I have learned most of the stuff I know about batteries... Along with trial and error, which is my favorite way to learn... The journey is so much more fun, LOL

Basic to Advanced Battery Information from Battery University

I just went online and looked at the manual for the mod and I was wrong about the battery indicator - I was looking at the wrong thing - my "Cb" (check battery) indicator says 4.1. I have to go now but I'll look through the manual later to see what 4.1 means.

Thanks for your help!
