So I am trying out Sweet Cherry Something and am a little vexed. It's real good. Basically it's just like SVC/BVC but I'm barely getting any cherry flavor whatsoever. The little I detect seems more genuine than any cherry flavor I've come across but really, I have a hard time discerning any fruit in this vape at all. There was no drop-down for extra fruit in the menu so I figured I was set. I know Wlad very recently reformulated this flavor. Does anyone have any experience with this one? It's brand new so I know some fruit will come forward in time but it would have to come through a lot for me to even consider this a fruit liquid.

Moueix, you say, "Orange Nocturne. I love this. Few else have ever professed, so I think this is a "personal" favorite. Unless your palate aligns perfectly with mine, your results will most definitely vary."
I've been trying for years to find the orange/chocolate that I crave. At this moment I'm vaping Highbrow's excellent orange sangre with a good dollop of their dark chocolate mixed in. A little murky, but some resemblance to the dusky-bright balance I'm wanting. The nocturne ships soon, with the rest of my first order, and I do have my fingers crossed. How long does it want to steep, ya think? (Love, love your reviews.)

Hmmm. I got my first sample bottle of SCS a few weeks ago and immediately re-ordered it because I was so happy with the cherries. The only possible negative I would (still will) note is that for me there is very little taste of crust/cake/whatever something is. From the day I got it I got bold, sweet-tart Michigan cherry; as it has aged the 'something' has developed. It's in-your-face cherry..if yours has no fruit flavor after a little steeping, or even now, maybe write to Wlad?

It will change a lot over the next two weeks. Haven't had this specific juice but the fruit will most definitely come out more. While I like SVC and similar juices, I love Ahlusion fruit flavors. They are clean and natural tasting, not artificial. For me, the baked goods parts of similar juices do add some depth and richness but on some (most) days I just want the fruit.
Enjoy

Yeah..I gave up on looking for a cherry vape some time ago and almost didn't consider Sweet Cherry Something. I'm so glad I listened to other people's reviews on it and took the chance, Cherries are hands down my favorite fruit, and I can't eat them in real life anymore but vaping SCS is like inhaling real, ripe cherries. I mostly prefer bakery and drink vapes, but with this one I don't consider it a negative at all not to have much "something"- the cherries are all I need or want.

Thanks for your kind words, Aubergine. I love almost every Ahlusion flavor right away. I don't think of it as steeping, I think of it as evolving. And I love to watch the changes. To me, the Orange Nocturne was mostly the dark chocolate brand new. And I mean the powdery bittersweet chocolate found on a fine French truffle. Love at first bite. The orange is unlike any orange you've ever tried, but it takes a LONG time to find the spotlight. Think of the orange as an air dried slice, like from a trail mix, but seasoned with herbal spices and even a little of the rind still on, a little like a marmalade. A LOT going on in that orange. But it isn't a "Bright Orangey" Orange. It is a deep, caramelized orange with exotic spices. I just dripped a few drops to give you a true impression. My batch is from October, and by now, it is the orange that is in the fore, and the chocolate that is shadowed by the curtains. NO loss of flavor intensity, as I have experienced in 3 months time, with the juices from other vendors.

I keep my juices in a dark, cold cellar in their glass bottles, which do not breathe. I draw 6ml at a time to put in an LPDE dripper I keep for daily use. I'm careful not to let excess air into the glass bottles, so every time I refill the 6ml, the flavors have evolved only a small amount from new. Since I have so many flavors, they sit in those LDPE bottles often for a month or more, and really steep quickly in those and change. I find those results fascinating. I keep getting to experience the flavor as almost new on every refill, but the additional age makes the end of the LDPE bottle juice even slightly more evolved each time. I'll reach a point where I'm vaping six or more month old juice, and really get a feel for the effect of careful aging on these. I'm into wine, and have done this for decades with that. I have tried the exact same wine aged anywhere from new to 25 years old, and at many points in between. Fascinating stuff. I'm finding that good juice enjoys the same treatment. If you have the patience, and a very cool, dark place in your home, you have what you need to order many juices and watch a really slow and marvelous evolution of your Nocturne.

Edit: Oh, and for the record, I'd prefer to have these in depth discussions "over there" if you wouldn't mind. Builds the reference base where I think it is most relevant to the participants. With your permission, I'd like to repost this there, under the flavor category.

Just for the record... I only vape Ahlusion liquids using an RBA- period. It's interesting to see at what ohms Wlad's flavors POP. Some come alive with 3.7 volts @ 1.3 ohms.... some need to be loved & stroked at 2.0. My REO mounted, cotton & Kanthal stuffed A-7 is my best friend!

I agree totally, juices need to be matched to temp and even hardware sometimes. It's why I review juices using no less than three methods of delivery.

Oh my.... I cracked open my Boba's tea 18mg, 50/50, coconut after a proper steep.. So damn good! How does he do it?

Excellent!

I have Boba tea as well and another that is lychee flavored. I'm going to let the lychee flavored one sit for a bit longer so hopefully the taste comes out a bit more. I also have the Cha-yen but have not gotten to it yet, but hopefully I can give some type of info sometime this weekend.

They've limited the number of new accounts that they accept. The philosophy is that they would rather ensure that they take good care of their existing customers than risk jeopardizing that for the sake of new business. It's unfortunate for new people who want to try, but it's a unique business model that's based on customer-vendor interaction. Also, I don't believe that they ship out of the country anyway, but feel free to contact them.

I've given lychee boba tea another try again, and I love it. The taste is there that gives boba tea a bit of a lychee sweetness that isn't overpowering and just about perfect at 8.5w. Tried at a higher watts, but I seem to lose the sweetness. Tastes the same on the inhale and exhale. I can probably all-day vape this and definitely recommend if you like lychee.

Cool, that's the flavor I wanted to try with the Boba. I haven't had lychee anything before so it will be a new flavor for me. For my next order spree I plan on going wild on the express line, knock down my wishlist to a managable level.

I got bobas tea with passion fruit. It was so hard to wait the two weeks to steep! I did sneak into it a tad early. My first impressions were that it was very good and I would be ordering more. A week later it was even more amazing! The passion fruit just shines through now! Wonderful juice! I'm so glad I quit analogs. This is much tastier!

Well, I got a chance to try the Cha-yen (cardamom) last night. I've never had authentic Thai tea, but this wasn't what I was expecting. It was a flowery tea to me without the sweetened condensed milk. There might be a chance that if you add a sweetener option, it will be like the Thai tea that most are used to, but I'm not sure.
