Well, I got a chance to try the Cha-yen (cardamom) last night. I've never had authentic Thai tea, but this wasn't what I was expecting. It was a flowery tea to me without the sweetened condensed milk. There might be a chance that if you add a sweetener option, it will be like the Thai tea that most are used to, but I'm not sure.

I always recommend shooting an email to Wlad before getting adventurous with their flavor list. He will guide you in the right direction and may have suggested sweetener had you done so. My experience with their juices is that they steer away from sweetener by default to allow the authenticity of their hand made extracts come through. This is especially true with their teas. The only tea I've had from them which came out of the gate very sweet was the Chai Latte (amazing). If you haven't already, shoot them an email with your likes and dislikes so they can build a profile for you. After some time they will apply your profile automatically to your orders and tailor your juice to your taste. Keep that juice and buy some liquid sweetener. Add a drop at a time to the bottle until it meets your liking. I've done this to several juices and it made a big difference without having to give up on a juice.

Edit: Oh, and for the record, I'd prefer to have these in depth discussions "over there" if you wouldn't mind. Builds the reference base where I think it is most relevant to the participants. With your permission, I'd like to repost this there, under the flavor category.

I have been away for a while and just read through what I have missed. What is this mystical "over there" place which sounds like it is full of excellent reviews and discussion? Can anyone help out a fellow Ahlusionist?

I'm vaping the Cha Yen with cardamom as I write- I have the orange blossom too and they are two of my favorite juices. I got both of them with the sweetened option because that's how Thai Iced Tea is served around here (we live close to Chinatown in Philly) and I can't imagine it any other way. Except for the occasional vietnamese coffee it's all I drink when we go to eat. My husband hates it, he's a tea purist and doesn't understand sweet/milk in teas...and here at least Cha Yen is uber sweet by default. I've never had it with cardamom irl, I have had orange blossom (and star anise which I don't really like) I find both of these to be amazingly true to the Thai Iced Tea they sell here, which for me is a really happy-and very sweet- thing.

Yes, I will definitely shoot an email to Wlad next time. This was one of those "gotta add to cart" deals where I wanted to try it. I don't know where to buy liquid sweetener, but I'll do a search and use your suggestion. :)

I've never had cardamom either though I understand it is used in authentic Thai tea which was why I chose it. FWIW, without the sweetener, it does taste like a tea flavor I have tried before though I personally cannot ADV it because it has a flowery note. I am happy to read that your's turned out so well.

I just want to throw this out there for those who happen to come across my post; by flowery, I do not mean perfumy or a taste that cannot be vaped.

Definately a difference between flowery and perfumy. I've come to find out I really like a flowery note in juices as long as it's subtle. It makes for an interesting experience. Wouldn't want to vape anything flowery for long vape sessions though.

Ahlusion uses sucralose (the ingredient in Splenda) to artificially sweeten their juices. You can buy a bottle on Amazon that will last you 10 years unless you're doing a lot of DIY. 1-3 drops per 10ml is all you need to add sweetness. Start with one drop/10ml and test it. You can also get a Stevia equivalent. Check or ask about it in the DIY forums if you need to know more.

I picked up a bottle of sweetener from Tasty Vapor for $2 plus shipping. It is a sucralose based sweetener. It's nice to have on hand to sweeten juices. Just make sure you do it in small amounts. I put a few ml in a small bottle and then add sweetener. That way you don't ruin the whole bottle!

You should save some of the original flavor. I've had some that I didn't like and put them aside. Two months later I'll try them again and it will be awesome. Some flavors take a long time to steep. Some of my absolute favorite flavors are this way. I've learned to never give up on a flavor. What you are tasting at the beginning is not the same flavor you will taste after a few weeks. Especially when it comes to spices and blends.

I haven't used sweetener on any Ahlusion flavors yet. I'm sure it has to do with my profile. I did have a coffee that I was going to sweeten but I vaped it all before I got around to trying it. I've found that I prefer to vape the NET teas over coffee. The teas have so much flavor to them.

Some flavors I prefer fresh. Like Pineapple Cream. It has a bite to it fresh that I enjoy. Then it steeps to a really good creamy flavor. It is one of my favorites.

Welcome to Tasty Vapor

Not to mention that they seem to only take a limited amount of new registrations.

1st time I ever tried registering with Ahlusion it wouldn't allow me to. I'm thinking there must have been some kind of persistent cookie in my browser because it wouldn't allow me to register. With that having been said, try to clear your browser cache, history, cookies...etc and then try again... Worked for me, but its been awhile and they may have fixed the issue.

I have been trying to order from them for aa month. Today I'm able to log in at the appropriate time. I'm able to fill my shopping cart. When I click, check out however, it returns me to the main page and says "User registration is temporarily disabled - registered users can still log in." It won't let me order as a guest, or register. So, I still don't get to try these juices.
