I should be packing, but I'm sitting here burning cds for the car trip, and deciding on and readying my vaping essentials I'll need for a week away (including making up my mind as to which of my Ahlusion juices to pack, and which ones to load up for the car ride.) That counts as "packing," right?

Bizou, is this the "no scent" trip?

Hey all, a few quick questions about steeping:

1.) I've never had to steep liquid before. I've ordered from a lot of places, and so far Backwoods Brew has been my favorite, and i've never had to steep any of their juices. I've always put it in right away and vaped, and it's been good. I've ordered Boba Tea (Honeydew), Melonade, Devil Dog, Vecchio Blend, and Berry Shangri La Tea, all 18mg, 30/70 vg/pg ratio. Thing is, i've already put them into cartomizers, and once I vaped them, I realized that I do actually need to steep some juices. My question is: do the juices steep while inside a cartomizer, or did I just blow 5 cartomizers for no reason?

2.) About how long should I steep these for?

3.) Is there anything else I need to know about steeping?

Based on some reading of billherbst, I believe that juices do steep in cartomizers. Since you opened the juices already, just leave the caps off for a couple days (I leave the spout off for a minimum of two days). Other than that, shake the bottles up (of course after you recap, :)) and you will be golden.

 I really don't require any titles. "Lady Eleanor" works just fine for me. :p:laugh::cool:

It just strikes me that, the more of your posts I read, the more I think you and I have in common! :toast::wub:

I've actually noticed that too....Lady Eleanor!! LOL! (and what's funny about that, is one of my closest friends has always called me "Lady D" for whatever reason. No idea where he came up with or why...but I'll take it! lol

The story of us (well, some early memories): http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...hake-shake-shake-your-juices.html#post6255881

The funniest part of all of this is how it came full circle. Read from 10 though about 25 and you will see what I am talking about. That was from 5/31. Another funny part is Daniele was right there.

In our vaping life that was a long time ago, though in the reality it really wasn't that long ago. I have come along way since those vaping choices. Luckily, my taste in ECF members remains impeccable! ;)

I remember the Shake, Shake, Shake thread! You & Lady Eleanor have definitely been a very consistent part of my ECF life dating back to my earlier days. (which feels like yesterday) I'm more than happy to join your little party though! :)

It's 9:33pm.

Still watching that list like a hawk on the Ahlusion site..though laundry has me :-x and I have played a couple of games of golf on the Wii (and won them both..I am THE Tiger Woods of golf on a Wii..without the mistress and whatnot..). So far all is quiet on the menu cut.

One of the things I love about Ahlusion is just how open and friendly they are. Little things really go a LONG way. The pranks, the advice, the camaraderie , the amazing juices...it's really all just one beautiful package. I don't really have a whole lot to say tonight. I decided I would just say this again. I would also like to add that I am very grateful to all of you here..Eleanor, Mr. Mann, Daniele, Biziou, Mouiex, Tez, and so many more for the information, and laughter. I think I have said this before as well..but I figured I would say this again as well. You are a pretty special group of ladies and gentlemen and I am blessed to have these moments with you. So, thank you.

Without the mistresses...hahahaha!!

Super sweet comments though, CM...and I couldn't agree more! We all need to pop a bottle of champagne, or Proseco in my case, (or even some IZZE :)), and do a little toast to that! Once we all have our custom fruit & champagne Ahlusion juices...we can all do vape toasts with eachother! LOL

Steeping is to your taste and taste is subjective. I have not found a great difference in Devil Dog steeped or not how ever the consensus seems to be that you should let the fruity flavours steep cap off for 48 hours then about a week after that. I think that this is due to some of there flavours being made with ETOH (ethel alcohol) and the alcohol needing to vent off. As far as BWB goes I can tell you from personal experience that they do not care about YOU the customer. To them you are just another order # and just that. They will not even read your comments on your order and much less respond to them. Ahlusion on the other hand will welcome your comments and suggestions and even give you a % off your next order if you give them feedback. On top of that they will create a flavor profile for you based on your unique preferences and vaping gear.

I just realized something else too after reading those posts....I started out with one of the exact same vaping choices you mentioned....and landed here! We've come a long way in a short time, that's for sure!

I can comment on a couple of these juices. I too, used to order from BWB....and although I didn't realize it at first, their juices did benefit from some steeping as well. I just don't think the information or direction was as prevalent as it is with Ahlusion. They make sure that is known in an effort to give their customers the best possible experience with their juices. That said, everyones tastes are different, and you may actually enjoy some of these juices straight out of the mail, but to get them to their full potential, the steeping is definitely a good way to go. I have not tried any of the tobacco's, but I can speak to Melonade and Boba Tea w Honeydew (vaping that right now actually, its one of my favorites). With Melonade, I noticed much more lime when it was fairly young, and honestly I thought that was all I tasted. After giving it maybe 2 weeks, the sweet honeydew came to the forefront, and the lime was more of an amazing accent. For Boba Tea w Honeydew....I was lucky enough to have one of our special ECF friends send this to me, so the first time I tried it, it already had gone through the cap off steep, and had a couple of weeks after that. It was perfect, subtle, creamy tea, with the super ripe and juicy honeydew making this juice one of my top 3s of all time. I think it was Biz who said this, but my memory could be mistaken here....when this juice is still young, the honeydew isn't as sweet, and its almost "rindy". i thought that description was perfect...as I have ordered a large bottle, and was a little impatient and gave it a try when it was still pretty young, and it was true, the honeydew aspect was more subdued, and almost did not seem ripe or sweet. It has since come out beautifully. It's almost like the honeydew actually needs a chance to get ripe. It's almost kind of weird!

So for those 2, definitely do at least 48 hours cap off, and I'd say at least a week or so after that. You can obviously give them a try whenever you wish, just know they will change from there.

Just read back through some of those Shake, Shake, Shake posts...too funny! Did you & Lady Eleanor ever get that dinner squared away for the double jinx? LOL!

haha. Naw, we never did. I found that post, cause I could't remember what thread, by typing into the ECF search engine, "jinx, you owe me dinner." I remember that night very well and it was very close to the time when I had experienced a great deal of negativity on the forum (one thread in particular). I was hit with a swarm of negative posts because I said something negative about Ethan from Vapelicious, who, I might add, has still got some people waiting on juice after 2+ months! I almost left the forum after that negative experience, but lo and behold, I began finding all of these wonderful people, many of which are here in this thread, and the rest is history. Speaking of history, all the people that came at me from that one thread have all gone away :p. In the end, negativity has a short shelf life.

D25, you have always been a participator in my threads and it was always a pleasure to get your responses. I remember are exchanges about Gandalf and Enigma in my "Universal Juice Recommendations..." thread. I got some Enigma here, but now it seems like old news. Heck, that was a time when CM couldn't find a better strawberry juice than Ms.T's, so you know that was like a former life . It is a TRIP to read those older threads and see where we were.

p.s. While I am feeling all sentimental, I wanted to put this out there early. I want to do some type of secret Santa or gift exchange of some sort in this thread (for Christmas). If anyone has any ideas about how we could do it, let's talk about it. Of course, all those gifts should be from Ahlusion.

Essentially there are, though, not "dozens." Wlad is not the only member of team Ahlusion that answers emails, but once you begin to develop a rapport with the company and start getting specific about juices and such, he will be the one you are receiving emails from. Most people in this thread are frequent purchasers and Wlad knows most of us by our real names and forum names, though, with that, I don't know how -- I guess he cares to.

This is true. He found my Ahlusion account and changed my prices with only having my forum name. Probably because I am always going on about the cafe au lait on here and he connected the two haha!

Ok, I have to share. Until tonite, I have been vaping my ahlusion juices in cartos. And, while I liked them, the flavor was a little mute. Tonight I put a fresh wick/coil on my Penelope and filled it with plain Boba's and WOWZER. This stuff is delicious. So creamy and smooth, I can't believe the difference and how freakin delicious this is. Ok, sorry had to rant and rave.

Thanks for the kind words and for the laughs, CM! You always brighten up this thread!

Devil Dog and Blue Grass Burley arrive at your door steeped, but some of their other flavors do undergo some radical transformations. But of course you're right about taste being subjective. Some people will prefer any given juice at any given level of steepitude, so it's always worth sampling a few drops here and there along the way.
